A person who wishes to attain supreme siddhi in this life should seek a Lama who possesses realization, one who has mingled the two aspects of Bodhicitta into one. One should regard the Lama as the actual Buddha and maintain unwavering devotion and respect. A person with the faculty of keen intelligence will accomplish their own purpose through devotion and respect alone. A person with the faculty of average intelligence should perform the recitation of the Mandala and the Hundred Syllable Mantra for about half a month or more, in order to purify their sins. The signs of the purification of sins are: vomiting, diarrhea, wearing white clothes, a lot of blood coming from the body, going to the top of Mount Meru, the orb of the sun rising above oneself, erecting a ladder in the sky and going up, and so on. At that time, one should seek the experience of Shamatha (calm abiding) for about three days. Then, one should have the Lama generate the perception of the Buddha for three days. After that, through coemergent union or Mahamudra, a person with the faculty of suddenness may go into non-meditation. A person with the faculty of transcendence, having realized their own mind, may also recognize their own mind as Dharmakaya there. Sometimes, one may also directly enter into non-meditation. It is said that the genuineness of this realization will appear in the Bardo. For the gradualist, first arises one-pointedness, then freedom from elaboration, then one taste, and then non-meditation arises. In one-pointedness, there are also three kinds of experiences: good, bad, and medium. Just by applying it, it will come clearly. If that clarity is sometimes good and sometimes bad, it is the lowest one-pointedness. If the clarity comes without interruption, it is the medium one-pointedness. If clarity and emptiness are united, and one thinks that there is nothing better than this, that no Lama or person has it, that is the best one-pointedness. In general, during the time of one-pointedness, when knowledge is separated from moisture, one may also think, \"I am in non-meditation.\" During the time of thick experience, one may also think, \"There is nothing better than this elsewhere.\" In the best one-pointedness, there are also three: sudden, transcendent, and gradual. If it arises suddenly, there will be no increase or decrease in the experience of clarity and emptiness. If it arises transcendentally, the difference between high and low is very great. If it is gradual, the duration of meditation is long, and there is great devotion and respect for the Lama." } ] ============================================================

Then, to quickly achieve enlightenment in an instant is without difficulty. Generally speaking, both gradual and sudden approaches are due to incomplete experience and unstable experience. If genuine devotion arises towards the lama, then there is no difficulty in achieving enlightenment in an instant. If there is high and low devotion, there will be high and low experiences. If one cannot improve through one's own efforts, then one should try to improve, that is, abandon the three attachments: Visualize the lamas of the three times clearly appearing in the sky in front, and then truly offer one's own body, making it an inner offering. Truly offer possessions: accumulate merit for the Sangha, make offerings to the Three Jewels, and place many Kapaladhara tormas. Abandon attachment to samadhi: do not be happy with good experiences, abandon bad experiences, and do not wait for thoughts. Pray a lot, combine profound verses, and his own experience, and in any case, the realization of non-duality will arise. Non-duality also arises in three ways: superior, medium, and inferior. The superior is that one will not fall into hell, nor will one attain Buddhahood, thinking that this is the Dharmakaya itself. Involuntarily, one will eventually have the thought of the lama as the Buddha. Thinking that through the meaning and key points of the Dharma, my practice does not need to learn from this. The mind will be very disgusted with worldly dharmas, and even attachment to one's own key points will be small. Thinking that all the key points are enough just by practicing devotion to the root lama. When sleeping, one's own realized mind will also appear. When the medium non-duality arises, one will not fall into hell, nor will one have the thought of attaining Buddhahood, sometimes it will arise, sometimes it will not. Constantly know and practice the unborn mind, thinking that this is enough, there is a slight lack of it. Experiences will have ups and downs. Sometimes one will have the thought of the lama as the Buddha. External demonic obstacles will cause one to doubt the lama and friends. Sometimes when the experience is bad, one will also doubt the practice itself, thinking what is this Dharma all about. At that time, do not leave a qualified lama, and one must improve one's own realization: great compassion arises for those who suffer. Listen to profound Dharma. Discuss the view. One must also generate even false devotion to the lama. Offer mandalas, and continuously pray, and ultimately one will reach the ultimate great non-duality.
