Because it is not observed in the ultimate, but in the conventional, it is to be accomplished by striving for the two accumulations in countless great eons. The Dharma of the Path Knowledge is a difficult practice, because it is not observed in the ultimate, but in the conventional, although one learns the path of the three vehicles, one does not manifest their fruits without practicing completion and maturation. The Dharma of the Base Knowledge is a difficult action, because it is not observed in the ultimate, but in the conventional, it performs the benefit of others, but one does not manifest its fruit oneself. The Dharma of the Bodhisattva's Path of Application is the application of the three difficulties, because it is the application of preventing attachment to the three knowledges. It is the application of not abandoning because one obtains the fruit as appropriate, because it is the application of preventing attachment to the Prajnaparamita of the Base Knowledge that causes the fruit to be obtained as appropriate for the trainees of the three vehicles. It is the application of not completely relying on others, because it is the application of preventing attachment to the Prajnaparamita of the Base Knowledge that does not depend on others for protection, etc. In the seven appearances, it is the application of knowing the seven appearances, because it is the application of preventing attachment to the seven delusive appearances such as dreams that know that dharmas are unreal. In complete transformation, etc., the dependent origination of inner and outer is not true in the ultimate, because it is an appearance that arises only from the complete transformation and maturation of the habits of manifest attachment. Like a dream, it is an appearance that arises from the joint assembly of causes and conditions. Like an illusion, it is an appearance that contradicts the appearance as true. Like an eye disease, it is an appearance that depends on conditions. Like an echo, it is an appearance that has not moved from the form of establishing habits. Like an image, it is an appearance without a true basis. Like a Gandharva city, it is an appearance without an agent. Like an emanation (examine with the thought of cessation). The application of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers' continuum of power, etc., is the meditation with attachment to the nature and distinctions of the dharmas of the base, such as form, because it is the opposite of the application of preventing attachment to its nature and distinctions. To form, etc., and so on.
