They will be able to liberate them from the state of desire. Now, in order to clarify the differences in the supports of the first three Paramitas, as well as the nature of accumulation, and the manner in which they are perfectly accomplished through power, an explanation will be given. These three dharmas, such as generosity, are mostly praised by the Sugata for householders. The accumulation called merit is also those. It is the very nature of the Buddha's Rupakaya, the cause of the Rupakaya. Although the support of the Paramitas is only the Bodhisattva, nevertheless, there are two types of Bodhisattvas: householders and renunciates. Among them, these three dharmas of generosity, discipline, and patience are mostly praised by the Sugata for Bodhisattva householders, because it is easier for them to practice these three dharmas. For renunciates, it is meditation and wisdom, but it is not that there are no others. The cause of the Buddha is the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. Among them, the nature of the accumulation called merit is those three dharmas, while meditation and wisdom are the accumulation of wisdom. Diligence is established as the cause of both. Whatever is the accumulation of merit is the very nature of the Buddha's Rupakaya, the cause of the body with the marks of a hundred merits, which is wondrous and inconceivable. The accumulation of wisdom is the cause of the Dharmakaya, which is of the nature of unborn. Third, showing the conclusion through the door of expressing the qualities of the ground: The prince dwells in the sun, making light, first removes the darkness of his own continuum, desiring to remove the darkness of beings. Like a prince residing in the disc of the sun, this third ground, which illuminates, first removes the darkness of the dissimilar aspects of the ground that exists in his own continuum, that is, at the moment of its own arising. Then, with that light, in the way that he himself has realized it, by means of showing it to others, he desires to eliminate the darkness that exists in the continuum of beings, which has become an obstacle to the arising of the third ground. In this ground, even if sharp, he does not become angry. The Bodhisattva, in this ground, destroys the darkness of faults that become obstacles to qualities, wisdom like sunlight.

Even if the mind becomes extremely sharp, one will not become angry with a person who has faults, because one is most accustomed to patience, and because compassion has made the mind-stream smooth. From the Introduction to the Middle Way, this is the explanation of the third mind of enlightenment, called "Making Light." Commentary on Chapter Three.
