Translation completed. Then, for the four aggregates that are non-material, such as consciousness, because they are immersed in the birth place that is stained by karma and afflictions, they are called "name"; or, because meaning flows by virtue of name, they are called "name." The material sense faculties in a tender state are called "form" because they can be harmed. Therefore, if it is like that, when name and form are formed, the six sense bases will arise. If name and form are formed in the womb, then from its gradual growth, the six sense bases, such as the eye, which become the door for the arising of suffering, will arise dependent on name and form. Thus, if the six sense bases arise, then later, relying on the six sense bases, contact will correctly arise. What is that contact, and how does it arise? It arises only by relying on the eye, form, and attention. Thus, relying on name and form, consciousness will arise. What is the aggregation of the eye, form, and consciousness? That is contact. The eye is the dominant condition, form is the objective condition, and attention, which is the immediately preceding condition, is the condition. Only then does eye consciousness arise. Among them, attention, which is the nature of the four aggregates, is name; the sense bases of eye and form are form. Thus, relying on the three conditions that are the nature of name and form, eye consciousness will arise. The eye, form, and consciousness, the three that meet and gather together, that is called contact. Some Abhidharma scholars believe that the mere meeting of object, sense faculty, and consciousness is contact, while others believe it is the mental factor that completely cuts off the characteristics of pleasure and pain of the object. Here, the former is taken. Then, later, from that contact, feeling universally arises. From that contact, which is the nature of the aggregation of object, sense faculty, and consciousness, the feeling of experiencing agreeable objects, disagreeable objects, and liberation from both, that is, pleasure, pain, and equanimity, will universally arise. Then, later, craving arises from the condition of feeling. For pleasant feeling, craving universally arises from the condition of feeling.

Therefore, it will arise. Why? Because craving arises for the sake of feeling. Because craving arises for the sake of feeling, it arises. For example, if a pleasant feeling arises, one desires to obtain it; if a painful feeling arises, one desires to be separated from it; if a neutral feeling arises, craving arises in order to prevent it from being lost. If craving arises, there is grasping. The four aspects become grasping. Thus, if there is manifest attachment and craving for feeling, then the causes that arise from the condition of craving, such as desire, views, moral discipline and asceticism, and the assertion of self, these four kinds of grasping will be completely grasped and taken. This is grasping caused by the condition of craving. Among them, desiring and being attached to the qualities of desire is the grasping of desire. Desiring and being attached to all bad views except the view of the perishable aggregate is the grasping of views. Desiring and being attached to moral discipline and asceticism that are preceded by bad views is the grasping of moral discipline and asceticism. Desiring and being attached to the view of the perishable aggregate is the grasping of the assertion of self. Then, later, if there is grasping, the existence of the grasper will arise. If there is no grasping, there will be liberation, and existence will not arise. That existence is also the five aggregates. As previously stated, if there are the four kinds of grasping, then the grasper, that is, the one who completely grasps and generates grasping, existence will arise due to the condition of grasping. Why? If the grasper, by the power of discrimination, does not take craving for feeling as his own, but by the power of non-dual wisdom abandons the four kinds of grasping and makes them non-existent, then at that time there will be liberation, and existence will not arise. The existence that arises from grasping is also the nature of the five aggregates. The arising of future aggregates from the actions of body, speech, and mind is called existence. Among them, the actions of body and speech are the nature of the form aggregate, and the actions of mind are the nature of the four aggregates. From existence arises birth. From existence arises the characteristic of the manifestation of future aggregates.
