From the lotus stalk born, white with a reddish hue, Whose body is adorned with the name of "Good." Thus she requested, and then Orgyen (Padmasambhava) spoke: "Listen, beautiful one with the form of a goddess, Future sentient beings who do not meet me, Will make an image as a lamp in the darkness of ignorance. Building a representation of Padmasambhava as an object of worship, Establishes a victory banner of the teachings, meaningful in the three kayas. Those who yearn for and have faith and devotion in it, Will have all desires fulfilled, like a heap of precious jewels. (237a) A field of unchanging bliss, without increase or decrease, Whoever constantly recites the essence, Will have their prayers fulfilled as people make aspirations. The origin of all phenomena, Emaho, how wonderful! Like a wish-fulfilling jewel arising from the essence of the elements, However the five desirable qualities are arranged and gathered, With cleanliness, auspiciousness will increase. By pure aspiration, offering the five medicinal waters, One is freed from the diseases of the four common gatherings, Especially pacifying the chronic disease of samsaric afflictions. For the heap of faults, the six kinds of sentient beings, A human body without even a moment of ease. Whoever takes care of the representation of Padmasambhava, Will be permanently liberated from the three lower realms, And will obtain the qualities of perfect abundance. Building a celestial palace for the representation of Padmasambhava, One will be born in the palace of the gods. Whoever acts as the chief craftsman in building the Padmasambhava image, Will obtain the supreme wheel-turning king of Dharma speakers. Whoever makes the craftsmanship of the Padmasambhava image, In this life and the next, will become skilled in the five sciences. Whoever mixes the mud for building the Padmasambhava image, Like seeds on the ground, merit will increase. Whoever offers clothing to the Padmasambhava image, Will obtain the adornment of wisdom. (237b) Whoever offers a lotus seat to the Padmasambhava image, Will obtain a soft and beautiful seat. Whoever sweeps the dust from the Padmasambhava image, Will obtain a beautiful form, fine clothes, and an attractive appearance. Whoever offers a butter lamp to the Padmasambhava image, Will be without darkness and have clear intelligence. Whoever offers precious jewels to the Padmasambhava image, Will be free from all poverty and accumulate wealth. Whoever offers the five incenses to the Padmasambhava image, Will be fragrant, pleasant, and pleasing to the mind.
