Explanation of the Instructions on Mind Training Explanation of the Instructions on Mind Training Seventh, the explanation of the instructions on mind training is: If you practice these teachings, mind training will not decline, but will increase more and more, so you should practice them. All yogas are done with one. This means that practicing other dharmas requires different things in terms of food, conduct, and yoga, etc. Therefore, those who enter this path only need to focus on this (mind training) in all aspects such as food, etc., so they should practice in this way. All reversals are done with one. This means that some people who are blessed by demons do not believe in this profound dharma, so they will have distorted meditative experiences, such as: after practicing mind training, the disease becomes more serious, the harm of ghosts becomes more serious, they hate others more, ego-grasping and other afflictions become more serious, etc., and thus they do not want to practice mind training; or without such a reason, they do not want to practice mind training. Because there is a danger of reversal, you should be aware of it in time, and think: I have generated a distorted practice. Then, with another mindset, think: There are many people in the world like me who have a reversed view of the Dharma. Then put them all on yourself, and offer your body, possessions, and merits to them, so that they will generate faith in the Dharma and embark on the path of non-reversal. At the beginning and the end, do two things. This means that after getting out of bed in the morning, you should vow: Today, all day long, I must not be contaminated by the thought of cherishing myself, and I must not let the thought of cherishing sentient beings decline. Then, during the day, you should practice with mindfulness and awareness. Then, when you go to bed at night, you should start with the lion-like loving-kindness samadhi. Then, check in order: I did this, I did that. If you find any violations, you should blame yourself and remember the guru's instructions, thinking: You are wasting this precious human life with leisure and opportunity, bringing harm to yourself. Then confess and apologize, and vow to abandon it in the future. If there is no violation, then contemplate: I have made this precious human life meaningful, and thus generate joy. Also dedicate the merit to this Dharma.

Dedicate (this merit) to arise in the continuum. May I never be separated from the two bodhicitta minds in all lifetimes! Thus, make the aspiration. Endure whatever arises. This means that even if great merit suddenly arises, do not be arrogant and attached, and do not be swayed by the eight worldly dharmas, but rather take it as an aid to Dharma practice. Some people, if they have retinues and service, become arrogant because of it, despise others, and do whatever comes to mind, which should be avoided. If decline and poverty occur like water flowing downwards, do not be discouraged, thinking that you will become like that, and do not become despondent, so that you cannot be trained by it. Do not only look at the high and low of human and heavenly realms and the happiness and suffering, but know that there is not much difference between the happiness and suffering of humans, and without distraction, you can increase virtuous actions. You should think like this: even with the perfection of the gods, you should not be arrogant; even if you are as poor as a hungry ghost, you should not be discouraged by decline. It is said. Whatever happens, protect it at the cost of your life. This means the precepts that are generally taught, the vows that are sworn to be kept, and especially the vows of this Dharma itself, such as "Do not speak of broken branches," and so on. If these two vows are broken, the happiness of this life will not arise, so hold them more precious than life. You should train in the three difficulties. This means that in abandoning afflictions, it is difficult to remember the antidote at first, it is difficult to stop in the middle, and it is difficult to cut off the continuum at the end. Therefore, you should strive to accomplish these three difficulties without difficulty. The method of learning is: memorize these three points every morning, and then when afflictions arise, remember the antidote, stop the afflictions, and think in your heart: from now on, you must not let such afflictions arise in the continuum. Take the three main causes. This means finding a qualified lama who possesses instructions, has realization, and has not been interrupted by intermediaries, and keeping the lama in your heart; or like how you think from leisure and endowment to selflessness, or like how the lama guides, arising in the continuum; and the favorable conditions for Dharma practice, faith, wisdom, diligence, strong renunciation, and having food, clothing, and all service, etc. These three are the three main factors for Dharma practice, so you must possess these
