The lower ones are the lands of learning, in the presence of the teacher of nomenclature (mngon brjod bla mar), exceedingly joyful and without stain. The illuminator and the radiant one, the difficult to subdue and the manifest one, the long-gone and the immovable one, the cloud of virtuous wisdom. The incomparable one and the possessor of wisdom, the vajra ground is the thirteenth. As it is said, the thirteenth vajra ground alone is the Buddha ground, the remaining twelve are the grounds of learning. Therefore, the eleventh ground, which does not combine different entities and characteristics, is definitely only a ground of learning. Furthermore, when the eleventh ground, 'all-illuminating' (kun tu 'od), combines different entities and characteristics, then it alone is the Buddha ground. There are eleven Buddha grounds, and this explanation of the name 'all-illuminating' is also found in the Kalacakra Tantra, where ten grounds of learning and five, including 'all-illuminating,' are enumerated for the Buddha ground, so all five of these are the defining characteristics of the Buddha ground. Moreover, if 'all-illuminating' is not combined with the eleventh ground, then it is explained in the Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra (rdo rje snying po rgyan gyi rgyud) as the meaning of the first ground. Thus, not knowing the distinctions of each tantra and combining the grounds and paths of Sutra and Tantra, or grasping one and abandoning the others, is a cause for laughter. The summer thunder of memorized recitations, the wisdom that cures the disease of doubt, with one gulp, the ocean of all the tantras is consumed, the good speech is taken with a curse, this is appropriate. Wandering in the darkness of ignorance, in the realm of the tantras, the arrogance of fools who presume to have seen. Please bring forth the sunlight of the tantric texts and examine, it is your task to cut off whoever is false. Thus, based on the questions and answers of the glorious Kalacakra, named 'Moon Rays of Speech' (smra ba'i zla zer). Offered from the crystal palace of the bird-wing tent of the hermitage with the golden roof, may it be auspicious! Sarva Mangalam (sarba mangga lam, सर्व मङ्गलम्, sarva mangalam, May all be auspicious)! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
