Collected Teachings of the Omniscient Pema Karpo PK118: 'Moonbeams of Speech: Questions and Answers Based on the Kalachakra' 12-594 'Moonbeams of Speech: Questions and Answers Based on the Kalachakra' Homage to the place where the twelve truths follow the wind, Where sixteen parts of wisdom are fulfilled; Eliminating inner sufferings, The environment of heavenly nectar. In the great city of Rajagriha, accumulating jewels, the Indra among humans—Ngawang Jigden Wangchuk Drakpa Palsangpo—from the twelve thousand sections of the root tantra of the glorious Kalachakra, 12-595 How much has been translated into Tibetan? Do the 'Abbreviated Empowerment' etc. belong to the root tantra, or how is it? In the Kalachakra, the seven empowerments for children entering, the four worldly empowerments equal to the path of the unsurpassable ground, and the Buddha's determination beyond the world, especially the eleventh ground, which of the four empowerments should it be included in? Please cut off the doubts about the definition of names, etc., and know the order of teachings that do not increase the seeds of conceptualization. To this, the answer is: The Kalachakra tantras translated into Tibetan are the 'Abbreviated Empowerment', the 'Condensed Tantra', the 'Outer Tantra', and the 'Empowerment Chapter'. Among them, the first one is extracted from the root tantra, which is undisputed. Other tantras extracted from the chapters of the root tantra are not common. In the 'Great Commentary Stainless Light' and the 'Vajra Heart Commentary', there are many quotations from the root tantra. The 'Empowerment Chapter' is extracted from the 'Condensed Tantra'. Whether the three tantras such as 'Hidden', 'Manifest', etc. are qualified tantras, the early Kalachakra practitioners and Buton Rinpoche have said so. The so-called seven empowerments for children entering the Kalachakra are: Water is the goddess such as Tara, The headdress is the banner of the victorious hero, the mothers of power, etc.; 12-596 Vajra bell and sun and moon, asceticism, etc. are also, the names of the places correspond to loving-kindness, etc.; the complete subsequent blessing is the glorious goddess of enlightenment, the Kalachakra that destroys the fears of existence; this is the seven empowerments that take away the stains of sin, and should be truly and well bestowed in the mandala. Thus, the seven empowerments for children entering should be bestowed on disciples who have the resources, in the mandala of colored powders. And, just as a mother bathes her baby after birth, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The water empowerment (Chuwang): Like leaving a topknot when cutting a child's hair, it is the empowerment of the five Buddha crowns; like piercing a child's ears, it is the empowerment of the banners of the ten powerful mothers; like a child playing and talking, it is the empowerment of the vajra and bell of the principal father and mother; like a child enjoying the five desirable qualities, it is the great empowerment of the vows of the bodhisattvas; like naming a child, it is the empowerment of the names of the wrathful deities; like letting a child learn to read and write, it is the empowerment of Vajrasattva's (Vajrasattva) permission and perfect possession. Therefore, this metaphor is called the seven empowerments for a child's entry. These seven empowerments are for introducing secret mantras, reciting mantras, and practicing the meditation of visualizing mandalas. These are the accumulations of merit spoken of here. In the 'Stainless Light Sutra', it says: 'Therefore, for the sake of the accumulation of merit, one should give the seven empowerments and give the twenty-five vows of non-harming, etc.' The purity of this empowerment, the first two purify the body, the next two purify speech, the next two purify mind, and the last one purifies wisdom. The sutras say that this only refers to ability. The so-called 'four worldly empowerments' are what Buton Rinchen said was the 'lower small' term, and making these four empowerments is also because of the saying 'at the end of dripping there are four moments of firm co-emergence'. The transcendental empowerment is also divided into four types, to which Buton said 'upper great empowerment' or 'great master empowerment'. The first three of these empowerments are also easy to drip, so in fact they are all included in the worldly empowerment. Taking the wisdom consort as a vase and giving empowerment with it is the vase empowerment; secretly observing and giving empowerment with its nectar is the secret empowerment; Giving empowerment with the bliss born from the wisdom consort is the wisdom empowerment; giving empowerment with the bliss born from the great seal (Mahamudra) is the great wisdom empowerment or the fourth empowerment. The necessity of dividing it in this way, the 'Stainless Light Sutra' says: 'Here the upper empowerments are of two types, one is for introducing sentient beings, for completely understanding the path, and for having the right to hear the tantras. The other is for giving the position of great master and for becoming a teacher.' It is summarized as the first empowerment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
