I Ma Dag (name), from the remaining water surging upwards, is immovable for the inner and outer Herukas (warriors). All others are crowned with a five-pronged vajra on their heads. Thus it is said. Then, vows are made with the siblings (or couple). Om Shri Maha Kala Ya (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཤྲཱི་མཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ་ཡ་，梵文天城体：ॐ श्री महाकाल，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ śrī mahākāla，Auspicious Great Black One)... up to Samaya Rakshantu (藏文：ས་མ་ཡ་རཀྵནྟུ་，梵文天城体：समय रक्षन्तु，梵文罗马拟音：samaya rakṣantu，Oath Protect), and the glorious Vajra Black Great One siblings (or couple). Striking the protector and his retinue, causing them to tremble in fear, thinking to accomplish the entrusted task. Verbally recite the Ashta (Eight Qualities) of Bhagavan Hevajra, the heart mantra, the near-heart mantra, and the long mantra and heart mantra of the consort, as much as possible. Then, starting from 'the Doctrine,' connect the three mantras of turning back, subduing, and killing, reciting them three times. Then, after reciting approximately one hundred and eight times the Deva Pichu, mainly recite the protector's seven-letter mantra, the mantra of Ekajati, the short mantra of the goddess, and the turning-back mantras of the action protector. Among these mantras, concentrate on reciting the mantra for which you are performing the approach. It is said that for the siblings (or couple), recite four hundred thousand times, etc., and for the action performers, recite until signs appear. Concluding the recitation, pray that Bhagavan Mahakala and his retinue bless me with the power to pacify all inner and outer obstacles and unfavorable circumstances in practicing the Dharma, and to destroy all inner and outer enemies and hindrances.
