'A Mirror Clearly Illuminating the Arrangement of the Pure Land: Verses of Aspiration to be Reborn in the Supreme Pure Land of Sukhavati' Namo Guru Buddhadhvajaye! 'A Mirror Clearly Illuminating the Arrangement of the Pure Land: Verses of Aspiration to be Reborn in the Supreme Pure Land of Sukhavati' I prostrate with reverence to the Victorious One, Amitabha, inseparable from the Lama! From the aggregate of eighty-one kotis of hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha-fields, The qualities of the arrangement of this field are exceedingly superior. I prostrate to the supreme field of Sukhavati! In the center of the pure field, a tree of divine substance, Of excellent form, adorned with various pleasing ornaments, Fulfilling the hopes and desires of beings in accordance with reality. I prostrate to the precious Bodhi tree! Beneath the supreme tree, on a beautiful throne made of jewels, The chief of the two-legged, blazing with the glory of marks and signs, Illuminating all fields with light. I prostrate to the supreme guide, Amitabha! Avalokiteshvara, the great treasure of compassion, the powerful lord, Mahasthamaprapta, the master of wisdom, who has attained great power, Constantly illuminating the blissful realm with light. I prostrate to the two chief sons of the Victorious One! Great heroes, proclaiming the lion's roar, Light spreading unimpeded from their bodies for hundreds of thousands of billions of leagues, I prostrate to the assembly of Bodhisattvas! Endowed with the three knowledges, six superknowledges, free from afflictions, Blazing with a fathom's length of light, holding the final body, Whose numbers cannot be exhausted by counting, impossible to fully realize, I also prostrate to the assembly of Shravakas! Especially the Sakya lords, Jetsun fathers and sons, etc., Possessing a treasury of immeasurable qualities of learning, contemplation, and realization, Who have successively appeared in that supreme field, I prostrate to all the root and lineage Lamas! I offer all offerings, confess all sins, rejoice in all virtues, turn all Dharma wheels, I beseech you not to pass into Nirvana, but to remain forever, And I dedicate all the collections of merit of the three times to the great Bodhi! Through the power of the merit of the three times, beginning with this merit, May we, teachers and students, have long lives and well-being in this life, May all our wishes be fulfilled, may the teachings flourish, And may the lineage be pure and unbroken! At the time of death, the protector Amitabha --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immaculate! May I, surrounded by a perfect Sangha, pass away with a joyful mind, and be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! A pure land as flat as a palm, adorned with precious jewels, rich and peaceful, joyful and delightful, constantly filled with gods and humans, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Although there are only the names 'human' and 'god,' the differences in body, possessions, and qualities are like those of the Paranirmitavasavartin gods (gods who have power over the creations of others), may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Possessing the divine eye and divine ear, remembering past lives, knowing the minds of others, fully endowed with miraculous powers, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Although the Buddhas praise it for many eons, the praise of its qualities is inexhaustible, a pure land filled with countless Bodhisattvas, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Even if all beings in the three thousand worlds become Pratyekabuddhas (Solitary Realizers), it is impossible to count in many billions of eons, a pure land filled with immeasurable Shravakas (Listeners), may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! The beings who are born in this supreme pure land, unless due to the power of their vows, have no end to the measure of their lives, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Possessing a body like an extremely hard diamond, endowed with the thirty-two major marks, obtaining the power and might of the son of non-desire, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Every morning, traveling to other Buddha-fields, serving and honoring many billions of Buddhas with blissful offerings, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! A pure land where all precious things such as gold and silver, and various implements such as flowers and incense, appear as soon as they are thought of, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Each possessing the four kinds of perfect knowledge, and all having boundless wisdom and eloquence, a pure land where the teachings of the Great Vehicle are given, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! With various excellent offerings in that place, as soon as one wishes to make offerings to the Buddhas of the ten directions, the Buddhas compassionately accept those offerings, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Even if one examines with a pure divine eye, one cannot know the limit of its splendor, a pure land endowed with perfect ornaments, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! Just as the reflection of a face appears on a perfectly polished mirror, a clear and radiant pure land where countless Buddha-fields appear, may I be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुखावती, Sanskrit Roman: Sukhāvatī, Meaning: Land of Bliss)! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
