The Collection of Teachings by Ngawang Kunga Sonam ANK27, A Biography of the Lineage of the Lord of the Doctrine, Glorious Sakya's Manjushri Arapacana. 3-532 The Biography of the Lineage of the Lord of the Doctrine, Glorious Sakya's Manjushri Arapacana. Jetaari, Victorious Over All Enemies. The Biography of the Lineage of the Lord of the Doctrine, Glorious Sakya's Manjushri Arapacana. In the writings of Master Sonam Tsemo, there are slight variations in length in some versions, which Yarlungpa Senge Gyaltsen proofread, but there are still uncorrected errors, which Sakya mantra holder Ngawang Kunga Sonam proofread again. Homage to the feet of the venerable Guru! In the land of India, in a place called Oshtakshana, there was a mantra-practicing pandita named Sumana Chandra, who diligently engaged in study and practice. The king of that place, Kanatza, revered him as his patron and requested initiation. The king had a very beautiful daughter, whom he offered to him. They had a son, and a ceremony of intelligence was performed. At the age of five, he was sent to study writing, but he returned from there. When asked why, he said, 'You are the son of a mantra practitioner, eating meat and drinking alcohol, engaging in the behavior of a low caste, do not come again.' His father said, 'If they discriminate in that way, you must find a way to overcome them, you must subdue them. Practice Manjushri yourself.' Then he gave him all the instructions, and in a clean place outside the village, he built a hut of grass and leaves, and practiced there for a long time. All the signs of accomplishment appeared, and the hut blazed with fire. His mother thought her son was being burned by the fire, and she beat the hut with her clothes. His samadhi was interrupted, his posture became unstable, dew dripped, and light flickered. His father, possessing clairvoyance, knew this and said, 'You have greatly disturbed his practice. If it were not so, he would become like the actual Arya Manjushri in this life. Even if it cannot be so now, he will have the opportunity to see his face and hear the Dharma.' As prophesied, by hearing the teachings of Manjushri, he became Jetaari, Victorious Over All Enemies, a great scholar proficient in the five sciences. His disciple was the great Vajrasana, from Magadha, belonging to the royal caste, his status was a lay practitioner, he directly saw the deity, he was a great scholar proficient in the five sciences, possessing the direct perception of knowing through thought. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, do you think that Ni Skalamka Deva, who was invited to Tibet by Dpyal Lo (translator's name) at that time, who possessed merits and was rich in many precious virtues, was the second Bhagavan? At that time, Ba Riwa (person's name) had passed away, which was well known. The venerable Lama Ba Ri Lotsawa (translator's name): His disciple was Lama Ba Ri Lotsawa. To briefly describe his history, his birthplace was Gyermo Tangpa (place name), his clan was Ba Ri (family name), and he belonged to the Ling clan among the four clans of Do-med Tsang (place name). His mother's name is uncertain. From a young age, he was different from other children, lacking the behavior of ordinary children, filled with faith and compassion, and only recited the six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओँ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum). He dreamed of a white four-armed man, radiating white light, placing his hand on his head and reciting the six-syllable mantra twenty-one times. In the dream, he involuntarily developed strong faith and immediately entered a state of meditation. Around the same time, he dreamed of a blue woman wearing jeweled ornaments who said to him: 'Child, do not stay here, quickly and without hesitation go to U-Tsang (central Tibet), you will accomplish great things.' After waking up from the dream, he began to prepare his luggage, carrying many items, and at the age of nineteen, he went to U-Tsang and arrived quickly. After staying in Pönpo (place name) for two days, one day he leaned against the wall for a nap and heard a voice, like that of his friend A-Kyab (person's name), saying: 'The robbers are protected by the gods, They depart peacefully to the desired place.' When he woke up, he saw before him the Tara (goddess's name) main deity and her retinue of three, about a span in size, with smiling faces, radiating infinite light. Tara said to him: 'Follow me.' So he prayed. Not long after, many robbers rushed over shouting loudly. The Lama said to his friends: 'Do not run away, nothing will happen.' The robbers were surprised and stunned, asking: 'Where did they go? Are they demons?' Then they left. From then on, he made Tara his personal deity. Later, in the upper region of U-ru (place name), he took Khenpo (abbot) Kusu Lupa Shang Yönten Rinchen (person's name), and Acharya (teacher) Tenchikpa Tsöndru Drakpa (person's name) as his teachers, and was given the name Rinchen Drakpa (person's name). There, he heard many oral instructions passed down from Jowo (place name). He received instructions on Madhyamaka and explanations of the Abhisamayalankara, etc., from the Acharya. He also asked Geshe (Doctor of Buddhist Philosophy) Nyara-pa Döntrup (person's name) about the Abhidharmasamuccaya, the Five Treatises of Maitreya, and all the teachings of the Kadampa school. He knew that the teachings of these masters were all of pure conduct. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
