Method of Burying the Vase Treasure. Method of Burying the Vase Treasure. From "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of the Wealth Lord": The Method of Burying the Vase Treasure. Homage to the Wrathful King! For the sake of the well-being of the teachings and sentient beings, to please the local deities, nagas, and landowners, and to protect the region and be a helpful companion, this practice called "Precious Vase Treasure Burial" should be performed. Make a vase according to your means, using gold, silver, copper, pottery, etc. The vase should be able to hold at least eighteen handfuls of rice or grain. Its shape should be like the top of a wish-fulfilling tree and have proper dimensions. Inside it, place: a lens for collecting fire from the sun (if not available, use plenty of glass charcoal); a lens for collecting water from the moon, or a type that is smooth in shape and extremely clear in color; one zho of gold; one srang of silver; if you can get a good turquoise, that's excellent; one srang of turquoise; one srang each of male and female copper; one srang of good male and female iron or molten iron; various jewels worth a thousand srang, as auspicious substances for increasing a thousandfold; a nine-eyed dzi bead for increasing ninefold; a white conch shell for increasing conch shells; and so on, gather as many kinds of precious substances as possible, sealing the holes with beeswax or butter. Mainly use three kinds of meat, and as many kinds of medicines as possible that do not harm the nagas and landowners; three white substances, three sweet substances, butter from a female buffalo or yak cow; five undamaged, clean silks; dry a whole rabbit (including heart and veins) and place it in the center of the vase; fill the vase with equal parts of five grains and other substances; at least each item, medicine, and wealth should be no less than one srang, and fill the remaining vase with grains. If there are no gold, silver, etc. that conform to the ritual, you cannot please the nagas and landowners, and even if you make a vase treasure, it will be of no benefit. If you accumulate properly and empower it with mantra and samadhi, then the local deities and landowners will definitely become helpers for the teachings, sentient beings, and the benefactor, just like an employee must do the work after being paid. The place to bury the vase is also related to each person's destiny: to eliminate the sins of the cemetery, bury it in the cemetery; if the fields are barren, bury it in the center of the field; if wealth is declining, bury it in the livestock pen; if grains and inner wealth are declining, bury it inside the treasury, or in the center of the walls and bricks; if the population is declining, bury it in the beautiful place of the local deity mountain; if the guardian deity is weak, bury it inside the guardian deity shrine; when building a house, bury it under the pillar; when building a statue, bury it at the base.
