I compose this fire offering ritual to burn away all the firewood of the two obscurations. Here, if you wish to perform a fire offering to complete the recitation of White Manjushri, or to pacify diseases, evil spirits, sins, and obscurations, there are the preliminary preparations, the order of arrangement, the main ritual, and the subsequent activities. Firstly, if it is the end of the recitation, etc., then there is no need for a ground ritual. If a ground ritual is needed, then in detail, it should be done as it appears in other texts. If that is not possible, then briefly, with the yoga of the deity, offer a torma to the earth deities and obstacles. Construct a square platform, each side two cubits long and half a cubit high, plastered with fragrant mud. If possible, if building a fire pit, make it one cubit wide and half a cubit high. If digging a fire pit, make it half a cubit deep and one cubit wide. In any case, extend a four-finger-wide edge from the top of the fire pit, and outside of that, a four-finger-wide lip with a slight inward slope. When drawing a fire pit, omit the height portions, but the width of the fire pit, edge, and lip should all be the same as above. Inside that, draw a small vajra chain circle, and inside that, eight white lotus petals, and inside that, in the center, a circle marked with an eight-finger-wide white vajra. The mouth should have a circle of white light, and the lip should have a vajra chain. Draw half-moon vajras on the four corners of the platform. Paint the outside of the fire pit and the platform white, and inside, pile up fragrant wood or sandalwood, or other peaceful and auspicious firewood, or heavy wood without living creatures, level with the height of the fire pit, and place a fire holder with a tripod inside.
