Herein resides the profound longevity practice from the Dharma Lineage of Lama Chakrasamvara. Homage to the Protector Amitayus. For those who wish to enter into its instructions, in the center of the mandala, whether elaborate or concise, on a platform, place a vase filled with essence. In front, mark it with a longevity torma and a vajra. To the right, place longevity pills, and behind, in a skull cup, place longevity wine infused with medicine. To the left, erect an arrow banner. Around it, place medicine offerings, blood offerings, and Kadampa and Terma tormas, along with offering assemblies and other necessary materials. Having gathered the necessary items, the yogi sits on a comfortable seat. After offering the preliminary torma in two parts, the command to the obstacles is as follows: Hūṃ Hrīḥ! In the self-arisen awareness, the wisdom of meaning, obscurations of ignorance, deluded appearances and minds, demons and obstacles that interrupt life, assemblies of wrong views, depart immediately! Assemblies of harmful spirits, Māraya (kill)! The Protection Wheel: Hūṃ Hrīḥ! From the beginning, the pure land of Amitayus, the nature of great compassion, the wrathful assembly rages like a storm, the boundary mandala is spontaneously accomplished, the vajra wheel is filled with red and black flames, protect, Vajra Raksha Raksha Hūṃ! Taking Refuge: Hūṃ Hrīḥ! The chief of two-legged beings, Buddha Amitayus, peaceful and free from attachment, the sacred Dharma of longevity practice, the supreme of assemblies, the vidyadhara of longevity, I take refuge in order to accomplish the vidyadhara of longevity. Generating Bodhicitta: Hūṃ Hrīḥ! The profound and non-elaborate meaning of no birth and no death, for beings bound by the obscurations of ignorance, in order to avert the obstacles of the Lord of Death and demons, I practice the method of accomplishing the vidyadhara of longevity. Blessing the Offering Substances: Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ! Hūṃ Hrīḥ! Impure, defiled, and tainted masses, from the pure Dharmadhatu, the expanse of space, the light of the three syllables shines and purifies, outer, inner, and secret offerings, the five wisdoms, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ!
