Rest! All phenomena are empty in their nature of cause and condition. In emptiness, the Dharmakaya reveals its true face. This is called the basis or foundation of meditation. Samaya! Gya Gya Gya! Secondly, generating certainty in vipashyana has three aspects: the method of settling, the essence, and the experience. First, the method of settling: Whatever arises in the present nature, settle it in its own place without contaminating it with thoughts of good or bad, and settle clearly in its own nature. Do not think about any thoughts, whether they are thoughts or non-thoughts, whether they stay or do not stay, whether they move or do not move, etc. Do not even notice the slightest movement of thinking "I will not think." In the nature of whatever arises, be still in emptiness, and in the radiance of nature, be clear and bright, equally without attachment to the three times. Second, showing the state of the essence: When you settle equally like that, be still in emptiness, be relaxed in non-grasping, be naked in non-speaking, be open in non-object, be transparent in unobstructedness, and the self-radiance will appear naked. This is called the true essence of vipashyana. It cannot be shown by the guru's instructions, nor can it be understood by the disciple's wisdom. The essence can be seen but cannot be spoken with words. It can be experienced but cannot be pointed out as this or that. This is called the primordial purity heart of the Buddhas. It is the self-knowing wisdom that has become the expanse and fully awakens everywhere. This is called the realization of the yogis. It is just the beginning of realizing the meaning of the suchness of one's own state. This is called the alaya consciousness of sentient beings. It is the basis for all the arising of the five senses, the eight consciousnesses, etc., because one's own nature is not known by oneself and is mistaken. From the tantra: Dharmakaya, the all-possessing, victorious over all, samsara and nirvana are just names, the mind is free from elaboration and is pure from the beginning. So it is said. Third, the experience: In the state of realization, the power, radiance, and awareness are uninterrupted, and the appearances of movement and thought also arise in various ways. Even if you try to stop them, you cannot stop them, and even if you try to settle them, they will not stay. No matter how the movements and thoughts arise, just as the essence of ice does not exist apart from the nature of water, without any investigation or acceptance or rejection, settle clearly and brightly in the state of self-knowing and self-illuminating.

Through meditation, various thoughts arise like a waterfall, appearing in the inexpressible, dissolving into emptiness, calming down in self-liberation, abiding in the nature of reality, and nothing else. This is the true experience. The scripture says: Like a rainbow appearing in the sky, like the sun and its rays, not abiding, not fixating, beyond mind, not meditating, not distracted, abiding in its own place, causes, conditions, characteristics, and essence are pure. Samaya! Ga Ga Ga! Third, the order of teaching the ultimate union of Shamatha and Vipassana: Here, because there is no grasping of what is to be meditated on and who is meditating, the extreme of permanence is eliminated; because of realizing the clarity of awareness as being free from extremes, the extreme of annihilation is eliminated; because of seeing the self-luminous nakedly in the nature of being free from extremes, both extremes are eliminated. That is, in the moment of awareness, everything is completely present, and that is the great wisdom of the union of Shamatha and Vipassana, the order of the Buddha's intention, which is perfect and without flaws. Samaya! Ga Ga Ga! Third, the subsequent order is threefold: cutting off the wrong paths, showing the means of cultivation, and the way of attaining the bhumis and paths. Samaya! Ga Ga Ga! First, cutting off the wrong paths: When practicing such a noble state, three contaminated experiences will arise: feeling happy, sometimes feeling clear, and sometimes feeling non-conceptual. These three arise because of the power of realizing the uncontaminated intention, the wisdom of the state is originally free from elaboration, but because of the power of being trapped in this network of flesh and blood, the manifestation of realization has not ceased, and the true wisdom is mixed with the elements of the aggregates, so these three experiences naturally arise. Therefore, do not be attached to happiness, do not fixate on clarity, and do not grasp even non-conceptuality. If it is not like that, if you are attached to the experience of happiness, you will fall into the desire realm; if you are attached to clarity, you will fall into the form realm; if you are attached to non-conceptuality, you will fall into the formless realm. Therefore, recognize the nature, eliminate obstacles, and cut off these three wrong paths. Samaya! Ga Ga Ga! Second, showing the means of cultivation: Thus, when the ordinary consciousness appears as its own nature, and the original reality is practiced, if it is scattered or agitated, tighten it a little; if it is dull or lethargic, loosen it a little; if it is overflowing or
