Precious Garland of Instructions. Precious Garland of Instructions. The Precious Garland of Instructions from the Great Perfection Three Roots Secret Heart Drop. Homage to the Three Roots. For the fortunate ones who practice the Dharma of the Three Roots Secret Heart Drop, a few words of oral instructions. After requesting instructions from the revered teacher, I ask for the sake of future generations, may I meet with the heart son. Furthermore, although there are many vehicles spoken of in names and words such as the practice of the Tathagatagarbha, this alone is the most secret and unsurpassed vehicle that can directly reveal the true meaning. For example, when a person reaches the summit of the king of mountains, the arrangements of continents, gold mountains, pleasure lakes, iron mountains, etc., are clearly visible to the senses, and one is completely free from the doubts of dualistic grasping. Seeing those arrangements directly, one understands the meaning without any error. Similarly, for yogis who enter this supreme vehicle, wisdom is clearly visible to the senses. By practicing properly, one distinguishes the differences in the first moment, realizes the nature of awareness as the Vajra Chain in the second moment, and perfects the four visions in the third moment, reaching the exhaustion of the result. It transcends the realm of error and obscuration. The lower vehicles are like people who have not seen Mount Meru, discussing the structure and arrangement of Mount Meru and the four continents, but only creating doubts and not being able to determine the truth. Therefore, this is the crown of all vehicles, the essence of all tantras, oral transmissions, and instructions. Those who practice this profound instruction will experience four perceptions: the perception of direct awareness, the perception of increasing experience, the perception of reaching the limit of awareness, and the perception of the exhaustion of reality. Among them, the perception of direct awareness or the perception of direct reality is seen through three key points. The term "direct" refers to the maturation of the key point of the senses. The term "three" refers to relying on the three key points of the door, object, and awareness, the appearance of self-luminous wisdom, free from obscuration, clear and naked, able to appear in the field of eye consciousness.

“ྣང་” refers to the ability to manifest, where emptiness and awareness are inseparable, free from obscurations. Second is the appearance of increasing experience: the experience of appearance and the experience of knowledge. The experience of appearance arises in a gradual and progressive manner, while the experience of knowledge is the nature of change, becoming the grasping and conceptualization of the mind. Therefore, by focusing single-pointedly on the clear light of appearance, the experiences of realization will increase more and more. Third is the appearance of awareness reaching its limit: this is when bindus and channels arise as the body, and the four elements dissolve into clear light. Fourth is the exhaustion of dharmata: this is when the clinging to the three kayas is exhausted on the path, and when the appearance of wisdom arises as the play of the three kayas. If one wishes to benefit beings at the time when the light of the fingernail appears in the gaps of light, one should not focus on the light, but focus on the fingernail itself and meditate on it for a long time. The wisdom of appearance will then return on its own, and the body of the great transference will be accomplished, benefiting beings at all times. Those who wish to practice such instructions must abandon the activities of body, speech, and mind, and must learn the postures of the three kayas. First, the activities of the body: abandon all worldly activities such as business, agriculture, profitable work, distracting activities, circumambulation, and so on. Second, the activities of speech: abandon external meaningless chatter, and internally abandon worldly recitations, readings, secret mantras, essential practices, and so on. First, learn a little, and finally, like cutting the strings of a lute, remain silent and speechless. Third, the activities of the mind: abandon external confused thoughts of mind and mental factors, and internally abandon the generation stage of meditation practice. Secretly abandon hopes for above and fears for below, reciting in an inexpressible and inconceivable state, and abide in a state of separation from nine activities. Second, the postures of the three kayas: the Dharmakaya lion posture, with both soles of the feet touching the ground, both hands in vajra fists placed at the base of the toes, the upper body erect like a lion, relaxed and full of strength, eyes wide open gazing forward. The Sambhogakaya elephant mouth posture, with knees and chest pressed together, toes extended outward, elbows planted on the ground, buttocks raised upward, eyes looking sideways.
