The melody of dance and illusion. The melody of dance and illusion. There is a melody of dance and illusion! Skillful mechanisms create various illusions, Moved and propelled by the power of love, Giving the taste of universal joy in all realms. May the lord of dance, youthful Manjushri, protect us. On a body meticulously groomed, Adorned with many ornaments, in an elegant manner, Various dance postures intertwine, songs twist and turn. Like the sound of golden bells ringing, The swaying waist is like a vine, From the tip of the jewel-studded half-net hanging down, The golden bells jingle, like the sound of a swan. A dream appears, enchanting and captivating. Like the beautiful moon at dusk, With a fair and rosy, extremely beautiful face, Braids of hair flutter, Exuding the fragrance of sandalwood, camphor, and lychee. With a demeanor surpassing what was seen before, The sixteen-year-old boys and girls, Dance hand in hand in an alternating fashion. Attire and gestures vary, the crowd frolics. There, eyes with keen insight and clear wisdom, Wide like lotus petals, They describe their situation, In a manner of mutual response. First, the young dancers lead with sounds like the drums of the gods, expressing the joy of watching, they say: The most delightful of worldly amusements, Even sorrow becomes as sweet as honey in the heart, As soon as it is drunk, it enters the heart. No matter how much one indulges, there is no weariness. Especially the exquisite taste of youthful beauty, Clearly showing the mutual experience, With secretive smiles and graceful gestures, Even the formless mind melts As if like a lotus without sunlight, The wicked are always frowning and gloomy. Like a water lily touched by moonlight, The fortunate are always smiling with joy. Like a blue lotus in a sea of milk, On a beautiful face, there is a pair of captivating eyes. A slightly shy gaze, like a flash of lightning, Binds each other's hearts tightly, like a rope. Moist eyes, like lotus petals, Red light of passion, with red pollen like honey, The bees eager to suckle, gaze at the youth's front.

Here, they exist as if competing with each other, so it is said. At that time, the great wise one, with a gentle smile, drew upon the melody of bees frolicking, and from his elders, having heard this impermanent speech, said: Alas! Busy gazing at each other, rejoicing here like peacocks seeing clouds. While dwelling on the edge of the fear of the Lord of Death, they dance and sing playfully without worry. This momentary, unceasing dance posture has shown an example to the hearts of men, yet unknowingly, they still watch the dance. Do they not think that life is the same as a dance? The limbs that repeatedly sway and move, in the end, lie motionless on the ground like stones, and the fragments of bones separated from flesh are scattered as if strewn in all directions. Here, loving each other, these who are connected like a string of young ones, also, by the power of karma, in the next world, each goes separately to different realms. When will the smile, like white teeth scattered like pomegranate seeds, appear? When, due to old age, one walks slowly leaning on a cane, like a mud puddle stirred by the wind, one trembles as if remembering the fear of the Lord of Death. Like a young lotus blooming in the sunlight, although one wishes to always smile with joy, know that one will inevitably age, like an old lotus in a storm. So it is said. Then, the young women, in unison, with voices like the sound of divine instruments, sang this song that imitates the joy of laughter: As soon as the beautiful moon-like face is seen, like the pistil of a moon-joy flower opened by moonlight, the pomegranate seeds of pure white teeth are beautifully displayed from the center of the red lotus-like lips. The waves of the ocean of joy surging in the heart, perfectly swirl in the beautiful vase of the neck, closely representing the play of song, dance, and illusion, a pleasant sound, which in the world is called laughter. Wherever there is a sound like the instruments of the gods, hearing it brings joy, and where the sound called laughter exists, there is certainly no great fear and no suffering tormented by sorrow. The person who has not experienced the taste of this joy of the group of young people, even if they have experienced other heavenly joys, cannot understand happiness from that tastelessness.
