Thinking of supplicating the most supreme and precious Three Roots, this place where I naturally abide transforms into a vast, expansive, and level ground of jewels. In the center stands a wish-fulfilling tree laden with branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits. Its branches divide into the center and four directions. On the central branch, upon a high and broad throne, resides the Root Guru. From the heart of that Guru, the lineage lamas ascending upwards reside in the form of stacked layers, embodying the essence of the union of all the Three Jewels. From the branches extending in the four directions: in the front, the special Buddhas, Yidams, and the deities of the mandala of victorious ones; to the right, the common Buddha, the teacher Shakyamuni, and all the supreme emanations of the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times; in the back, the Dharma Jewel, in the form of stacked scriptures; to the left, the common Sangha Jewel, Bodhisattvas, Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and noble beings. Surrounding all of these, the special Sangha, Dakinis, Dharma Protectors, and Wisdom Beings reside like dense clouds. Visualize in this way. Together with oneself, all sentient beings pervading the sky gather. Thinking, "You know happiness and suffering, good and bad," with a devotion of hope and abandonment, and with intense longing, take refuge. Recite "Namo, to the Sugatas, Victorious Ones, and their Sons of the ten directions and three times," and so on, to the best of your ability. At the end of the session, rays of light emanate from the bodies of the objects of refuge. Touching oneself and all other sentient beings, purifying sins and obscurations. All sentient beings go to pure lands. The objects of refuge dissolve into light and are absorbed into oneself, then dedicate the merit. When sleeping, visualize the objects of refuge not being withdrawn, and sleep with your head facing them. Fall asleep in a state of devotion and yearning. Thirdly, no matter from which direction you measure, the realms of the world are endless. All of these are filled without interruption by sentient beings of the six realms. All of these sentient beings have been one's parents countless times. They are all kind benefactors who have cared for one well. All these beings desire happiness, yet they create suffering. Therefore, their desires and actions are reversed, and these beings, like madmen, are truly pitiable. My parents, unwillingly experiencing all kinds of suffering, what is all this for?

Stop! What's the use of just saying 'compassion' now? Having drawn them out of the suffering of samsara, may I quickly establish them in the supreme, unsurpassed, perfectly complete Buddhahood. Since I do not have that ability now, may I attain the state of Buddhahood in this very life, so that I can liberate all beings. For that purpose, I will meditate on the profound path of the generation and completion stages of glorious Vajrasattva. Thinking thus, from this day forth, until samsara is empty, etc., with intense altruism, holding the sentient beings of the six realms in my heart, I will recite as much as I can. At the end of the session, I will remain for a moment in a state of non-conceptualization of objects and sentient beings, and then dedicate the merit.

Then, after confessing with "O Protector, due to my ignorance and delusion," etc., Vajrasattva says, "O son of noble family, your sins and obscurations are purified." After giving this blessing, he dissolves into oneself, and one should think that one's being is blessed. Also, one should greatly contemplate the nature of sins and obscurations, and remain in the state of complete purity of the three spheres, inexpressible great bliss, and then dedicate the merit, striving until the signs of the purification of sins and obscurations appear. Secondly, in the sky in front, visualize the mandala of the field of accumulation as the refuge. The mandala of offering is a mandala of jewels, etc., or if there is none, on a cleaned ground, sprinkle fragrant water. As an action of the body, arrange clusters of flowers. As an action of speech, all sentient beings, self and others, recite in one voice, "Precious ground, Mount Meru and surroundings, etc." As an action of mind, visualize Mount Meru, mountains, oceans, four continents, subcontinents, sun and moon, etc., the world of container and contents, the wealth of gods and humans, based on the powerful golden ground, being good and abundant, without gaps, and filled to the brim, and offer it many times. Pray that special experiences, realizations, and qualities may quickly arise in the mindstream. Finally, gather the field of accumulation, the mandala of offerings, etc., into oneself in the form of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), remain for a moment in the state of non-objectification of the three spheres, great bliss, and then dedicate the merit. Thirdly, in the sky in front, visualize the object to whom you are praying as the refuge as before. All of them also appear as the illusory play of the mind of the root guru, the appearance of bliss and emptiness, without thick or thin in compassion and without high or low in intention. Think that they are looking at you in the manner of blessing all sentient beings, self and others, and that the blessings are falling like rain. Transform your body into as many particles as there are fields, and together with the sentient beings pervading the sky, with great faith and respect, think that you are offering prostrations, etc., the seven pure limbs. Recite "Guru, glorious Vajrasattva" (Tibetan: བླ་མ་དཔལ་ལྡན་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས༔), etc., as much as you can. Then, the guru himself is the embodiment of all Buddhas, and again and again, cut off exaggerations, with the qualities of thoroughly establishing certainty as the sole king, and remembering the kindness, abandon the expectation of what you know.
