From the great Anavatapta Lake of the Four Kayas of the Victorious Ones, the fortunate ones who received the lineage of the Four Transmissions, I prostrate to the Lama who eliminates suffering, and write the Essence of Nectar that Pacifies Suffering. Thus, since samsara itself has not been truly established from the time of its appearance, it is naturally pure. However, due to the cause of inverted thoughts, it is tormented by suffering and becomes miserable. In order to be liberated from this, one must practice the sacred Dharma. Moreover, considering the levels of beings' minds, the Buddha taught countless gates of the Vehicle. This Dharma is, as the venerable Lama said, "For beings tormented by suffering, I will explain the cool and stainless Dharma of Pacification." Like this, the general name of the sacred Dharma is used as a specific name, and the special name that is obtained is the Dharma of Pacifying Suffering. In this regard, due to the fact that Dampa Rinpoche came to Tibet many times, there are three lineages of pith instructions for the three transmissions of the early, middle, and later periods.
