If one recognizes that all actions other than the sublime Dharma are merely turning the wheel of meaningless suffering, and even sees the happiness and wealth of a universal monarch as similar to an ant's nest, then if a strong sense of disgust arises towards worldly activities, the preliminary practices have hit the mark. B) Having tamed the mind in this way, one sets refuge-taking as the path. Since there is no other than the Lama and the Three Jewels who can protect us from the terrifying suffering of samsara, one thinks, 'I will seek refuge and reliance in them.' Then, in the sky in front of oneself, within a tent of five-colored rainbows, on a splendidly arranged throne, one visualizes the noble Great Compassionate One, inseparable from one's root Lama, surrounded by a gathering of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. In their presence, one leads all beings, who fill the great earth like dust, without partiality towards enemies or friends, with the attitude of 'You know what to do, I completely entrust myself to you,' completely trusting and surrendering. One recites verses such as 'Lama, embodiment of the Sugatas,' and takes refuge in terms of view. Furthermore, all beings pervading space are one's parents from past lives. All of them are tormented by suffering, and do not know the means to attain happiness. Although they desire happiness, they act like madmen by creating suffering. I will liberate them from suffering and establish them in the unsurpassed bliss of enlightenment. For this purpose, I will practice the profound path.' Thinking in this way, one generates the mind of enlightenment by reciting verses such as 'For the sake of all beings, may I attain Buddhahood.' Finally, one visualizes light radiating from the heart of the refuge object, striking all beings, causing them all to joyfully go to pure lands. Then, one visualizes the refuge objects dissolving into light and merging into oneself, making one's body, speech, and mind inseparable from the Three Vajras, and dedicates the merit. Second, the main practice has three parts: the guidance on the generation stage of body, the guidance on recitation of speech, and the guidance on the clear light of mind. The first part has three: the uncommon preliminary practices related to the guidance on body, the actual guidance on the illusory body of emptiness, and finally, the transference like a mustard seed. The first part has two: abandonment and adoption. Among these, what is to be abandoned is: the non-virtuous actions of the body that obstruct the Vajra Body, namely, killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct. One confesses with strong remorse for the evil deeds done in the past, and vows not to commit them in the future.

Restraint. What should be done is to protect the lives of sentient beings, to give alms without attachment, and to abide in discipline, that is, to train in the three virtues of the body. Secondly, with the seven-point posture of the body, one should awaken with the conviction that one's own body is the deity's body, pure in nature from the beginning, with the mantra of Svabhava Self-nature). From emptiness, one should visualize oneself as the noble Avalokiteśvara, white in color, with one face and four arms. The first two hands are joined in prayer at the heart, the lower right hand holds a crystal rosary, and the lower left hand holds the stem of a white lotus. The feet are in the vajra posture, seated on a lotus and moon cushion. Peaceful and smiling, with the beauty of the marks and signs of perfection, adorned with silk and precious jewels. Gradually visualize a clear and unobstructed light radiating from the body. Clearly manifest in the mind, as it is said, "When practicing the generation stage, look at the rainbow in the sky." The form of the deity is visible as a form, but grasping is formless. Meditating by mixing it with the example of a rainbow in the sky or a reflection in a mirror will bring forth a good experience of clarity and emptiness, free from attachment. Thirdly, in the center of the body visualized as the deity, there is a central channel, clear, transparent, and empty, with an opening at the top reaching the Brahma aperture. In the central channel at the heart level, visualize a wisdom being similar to oneself, filled with light. In the sky above the crown of the head, visualize the essence of the guru, Amitabha, surrounded by a host of sons and daughters of the gods, and generate devotion and longing. Light radiates from the heart of Amitabha at the crown of the head, striking the wisdom being. Like a magnet attracting iron filings, the wisdom being passes through the central channel, shoots out from the crown of the head, and dissolves into the heart of the guru Amitabha. Visualize Amitabha also going to Sukhavati through the path of rainbow light. The appearance of one's own deity form also remains in a state of non-objectification. When rising from meditation, one should rise with the attitude of "I am the body of the Lord" and dedicate the merit. Secondly, regarding the guidance on mantra recitation, there are also common and uncommon preliminaries related to the guidance on speech, as well as the main practice of the guidance on the sound-emptiness of speech, and finally the transformation of speech into the form of letters. The first part has both abandonment and acceptance.
