Then, in the Fire Dog year (1946), in the first month of spring, the second Tibetan month, on the ninth night of the waxing moon, near the last moment, as the tenth day approached, at the first moment of the Hasta constellation, accompanied by many wondrous auspicious signs such as the earth shaking, the appearance of great light, and rainbows in the sky, she was born comfortably without harm to the mother in the special place of Grawang Dargyay Choling Monastery, in the chamber called "Od Sal Tsa." Immediately, the father himself performed protective rituals such as bathing, initiation, permission, and blessings, and also performed the auspicious ceremony of opening wisdom. The maternal grandfather, the wise Dondrup Wangyal, performed auspicious ceremonies based on calculations such as birth divination, and according to the letters of the first moment of the Hasta constellation at birth, he gave the name Kunga Dondrup Rinchen Wangyi Gyalpo (ཀུན་དགའ་དངོས་གྲུབ་རིན་ཆེན་དབང་གི་རྒྱལ་པོ།).
