Listen carefully and separately without mixing them up. On the night of the tenth day of the ninth month, in the meditation chamber, in a vision of luminosity, there appeared a delightful temple that I thought was Samye Chimpu. Many yogis were performing rituals, and many women were gathered around. As he sat in the lower row with a viewing mind, he saw an elderly yogi, said to be the treasure revealer Dorje Lingpa, sitting at the head of the row. In front of him was a large vase made of sandalwood. The yogi was holding a skull cup (kapala) painted with vermillion and with a golden drawing of a sow mandala, wiping it with red silk. A young woman filled the sandalwood vase with a liquid as white as milk, which I guessed was rice wine. Another woman carried a large rhinoceros horn bowl filled with many kinds of food that he had never seen before and offered it to the yogi. Starting from the first row, everyone took a bite of food and a sip of wine from the kapala in turn, but the food and wine did not seem to decrease. Later, the woman offered the container with various kinds of food, and he enjoyed it, finding the taste and energy very rich. After that, he put the food and containers into a white cloth bag and held it in his hand. The yogi handed him a small rolled-up piece of paper, saying it was a Geshe monk's hat amulet. He saw that at the beginning there were three Tibetan "ཨེ་མ་ཧོཿ" (Tibetan, Devanagari: एमाहो, Romanized Sanskrit: emaho, Literal Chinese meaning: Rare indeed!), but the rest was only Chinese characters, which he did not understand, but he accepted it with great devotion, and then the yogi and everyone left. Then, he himself came out and as soon as he stepped onto a stone slab, he woke up. It is said that at the end of that month, he went to Chakchang Chökyi Ling. There, the incarnate lama's nephew and other monks with evil intentions slandered him with the intention of creating obstacles, and they separated the monks, patrons, and faithful followers with divisive words. Immediately, they caused various thorns in his heart with only rough food, but he did not think of those who harmed him in any way, but rather spread loving-kindness to them. While he was staying there, the attendants felt that such transgressions should be retaliated against

If you estimate, it is better not to estimate. If you do, this burden only has losses and no benefits. After reporting this, (the master) instructed: If there is no retaliation, the continuums of each other will not be burned, and we ourselves will become more patient, so even if retaliation cannot bring benefits, what will happen if we do evil? There, he listened to the Ashtasahasrika Prajnaparamita Sutra, scattered sutras, and the compilation of Dharani transmissions from Geshe Yonten. At that time, a patron named Chagmen invited him, and a special ritual needed to be performed. Although he had agreed, the attendants were frustrated because he had not brought scriptures from the monastery. At this time, a manuscript of the master (father) was found in the wall crack above the bedroom, which surprised everyone. Once, he said to the attendants, it seems that I will soon become the owner of this monastery as before, which is a definite prophecy. On the twenty-third day of March, he went to Kyosang with his attendant Geshe Yonten. At the foot of the mountain behind the monastery, Drogri Rinchen Tsekpa, accompanied by wonderful sights, he obtained a catalog of deep treasures with the head of Maha Guru (Padmasambhava). Soon after, he went to U-Tsang and performed a strict retreat for three months, focusing single-mindedly on practice. At the age of seventeen.
