Those found from the side of the sound statement are called the root of the statement. The second nature is the name, which in this system of sound is known as gender, and that which has the meaning of separating the root and the case is gender. Therefore, कृत् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) is given to the root, but not the case, and is recognized as a phonetic component in the intermediate state. In terms of classification, there are three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter, which are distinct or common, and are called the base. Like ब्रिष (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) ending in a vowel, and बिर्हुर् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) ending in a consonant, both are included in these two cases. Second, the suffix is the phonetic component that can realize the second nature of sound, namely name, word, or root, and is called a suffix. As stated in the 'General Explanation': The characteristic of a suffix is the transformation of nature, which is the component of realizing sound. कृत् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) suffixes and उण (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the root gender. ति (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the root word. Except for यिन् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) and अयि (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), पन् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the root root. From feminine words, अ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) changes to अओ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the gender gender. From a name, another name related to it is produced, which is called फन् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), that is, what realizes name name is फन् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning). आयि (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the gender root. सि (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. are suffixes that realize the gender word, there are seven in total. Among them, सि (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. and ति (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. have the same basis for suffixes and cases, the former distinguishes meaning by realizing name words, and the latter distinguishes time and meaning by realizing root words. Third, the phonetic change, as stated in the 'Treatise on Measurement': Associated with the nature suffix, or only associated with letters, change and distinction are phonetic changes. Therefore, names etc., the changes and distinctions mentioned in कृत् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) etc. in the 'General Explanation' are phonetic changes related to the nature suffix, while the changes and distinctions mentioned in 'Connection' are phonetic changes related only to letters. The texts that explain these are: (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), these are considered commentaries on Panini, and are widely known among Sino-Tibetan scholars.

The Pāṇini grammar, the Mañjuśrī grammar, the Kalāpa and Cāndrapa, and the Sarasvati grammar, among others, were translated into Tibetan, except for the Indra grammar. In particular, the Kātantra and Cāndra grammars are like the union of the sun and moon in dispelling the darkness of ignorance in the snowy lands. Thus, there are four sources for how the science of grammar arose. The first is the way taught by the Āryas: The Teacher, the Buddha, when explaining the third of the four individually correct knowledges—etymology—and in the Drum of the Great Sound Sutra, also symbolically taught the nature, conditions, transformations, and the necessary names and components of these. The way taught by the Bodhisattva Āryas is: In the Great Commentary on the Kālacakra, it is mentioned that Mañjuśrī wrote his own prophecy, thus expounding the Mañjuśrī grammar. It would be better to count Pāṇini and Sarasvati as being taught by the Āryas, because the former was spoken by the Ārya Avalokiteśvara to the Brahmin Pāṇini, and the latter was directly spoken by the Ārya Sarasvati to Anubhūti. The second is the way it spread in the heavenly realms: It is said that in the Trayastriṃśa heaven, there arose a learned grammarian named Sarvajña (藏文:སརྦ་ཛྙཱ་,梵文天城体:सर्वज्ञ,梵文罗马拟音:sarvajña,汉语字面意思:All-knowing), who composed a great treatise on grammar, which became famous in the heavenly realms. Indra learned from him, and he taught the grammarian Pūrva, who was appointed as the teacher of the gods. At that time, Pūrva was very arrogant, making it difficult for the gods to approach him. So, Indra took a drop of water from a vase with the tip of a kuśa grass and said, "The treatise on grammar is like an ocean, what I know is like a vase of water, and what you know is like a drop of water." Pūrva became discouraged and vowed not to teach grammar. Indra commanded, "Tell me what you know." So, for the sake of self-cultivation, he observed the four fast days and taught other gods, and thus he was known as the grammarian or the teacher of the gods. The third is the way it spread in India: It is said that before the Pāṇini grammar appeared in the world, the combinations of grammar were accumulated and studied in fragments, without a unified and compiled treatise. Later, the Brahmin Pāṇini learned knowledge from all the grammarians on earth. In particular, he attained accomplishment through practicing the Ārya Avalokiteśvara. Merely by the Ārya speaking about the collection of letters, he comprehended all the aspects of grammar existing in the three realms.
