Focus on the fire of 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None), and focus on the meaning of non-discrimination. Focus on the full moon bindu, like placing awareness on a bindu that shines like a full moon. Focus on the fire of Tummo, visualize the short Tummo like a candle flame, and the long Tummo reaching the heart. Place awareness on the Tummo that is as red and flickering as a flame. Focus on the meaning of non-discrimination, visualize the wind entering the Avadhuti (Sanskrit: Avadhūti, referring to the central channel), then do not focus on the channels, nor focus on Bodhicitta while practicing. So, which one should be practiced? The venerable one said, one should focus on the fire of Tummo. For focusing on the fire, some focus on a fire the size of a peacock's tail, some focus on a fire the size of a needle tip, and some focus on a triangular fire. The venerable one said, in any case, it is enough to focus on the fire. If someone does not understand these, even if only a little sign appears, if guidance is received from the guru, there will be no other better method. The venerable one said, in this era, if one can use the body for Dharma and focus the mind on this, there is no reason why wisdom will not arise. If one practices like this for one night, signs will appear: first, warmth will be felt, second, happiness will be felt, and third, non-discrimination will arise. If warmth does not arise, make the gesture of a Rakshasa opening its mouth. The venerable one said, otherwise there is no need to make the gesture of a Rakshasa opening its mouth. The 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None) located in the navel chakra is located at the three 'spans' of the three channels. The nature of 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None) is that when not practiced, it is yellow and the channel is red. When practiced, it is as red and shining as a flame. Therefore, Nagarjuna said: 'The nature of camphor is selflessness, the nature of bliss is with selflessness, that bliss is the Mahamudra, it abides in the center of the navel chakra, the nature of the first vowel, the Buddhas and saints have said so.' This is the oral instruction for mixing discrimination and non-discrimination, called 'Short A'. It is the teaching of Tilopa, the completion stage of Tummo. Crisscrossed like a grid, tied like a Chinese knot, straight like an arrow, bent like an iron hook, twisted like a thread. When not practiced, 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None) is yellow; when practiced, 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: None) is red. Focus on the full moon bindu, focus on the Tummo fire the size of a needle tip, focus on the meaning of non-discrimination. Do not focus on the channels and wind, just like the fish head and fish tail are pressed under the Avadhuti (Sanskrit: Avadhūti, referring to the central channel), forcibly entering. If you want to be fast, make the gesture of a Rakshasa opening its mouth. If warmth does not arise, make the gesture of a Rakshasa opening its mouth.
