念诵‘皈依’即可，翻译即可。 如此，仅是皈依，以及授予居士戒的仪轨，此《精要极明》也是，由释迦比丘 忍巴仁钦 劝请，释迦比丘 金刚持 龙树，于名为‘能仁教法增盛’，萨迦班智达 法之库藏之母 三大宝藏所加持之处编纂，吉祥圆满！

It is sufficient to translate by reciting 'taking refuge'. Thus, this 'Essence Extremely Clear', which is merely the taking of refuge and the ceremony for bestowing the Upasaka vows, was also compiled at a place blessed by the three great treasures of Sakya Pandita, the mother of Dharma's treasury, called 'Flourishing of the Sage's Teachings', by Shakya Bhikshu Dorje Dzinpa (Vajra Holder) Nagarjuna, at the urging of Shakya Bhikshu Zopa Rinchen.
