The yogi's meditation is perfected in the realm of Dharma, Cutting off acceptance and rejection, dwelling in the state of great primordial purity, Free from action, effort, characteristics, the realm beyond speech, thought, and expression, The single sphere of clear light is fully encompassed, The yogic practice is perfected in the realm of oneness. Without abandoning samsara, whatever appears is the realm of the Victorious Ones, Without seeking nirvana, everything is perfected in the ground, The pinnacle naturally inclines towards the place of liberation, The fruit of yoga is perfected in the realm of spontaneous accomplishment. Initially, the deity's form is fashioned by conceptual fabrication, In the middle, self-luminosity arises unceasingly, clearly, Finally, whatever appears is known as the self-born deity, Yoga is the stage of creation with elaboration. Initially, the emptiness of understanding is placed in the mind's core, In the middle, blessings emanate, and one's own face is seen, Finally, from the Dharma realm, the wisdom of awareness awakens, Yoga is the stage of completion without elaboration. The essence of appearance, the nature of reality, is naturally empty, The self-radiance of emptiness, unceasing, appears as anything, No need for embellishment, spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, Yoga is the practice of union of creation and completion. When practicing individual liberation vows, the difference between manifest and hidden is great, When studying the bodhisattva vows, one is always wary of one's own faults, In mantra practice, one is free from the three mandalas of outer, inner, and secret, The yogi is the liberation of possessing the three vows. Keeping self-interest in mind, one creates a false Dharma appearance, Without accomplishing benefit for others, one consumes offerings to the sangha, Superficial, without essence, yet with much activity, The yogi deceives himself, a futile endeavor. Although knowledge is vast, the footprints of the wise are few, Although retreat is done, the power of accomplishment is not perfected, Although teachings are many, disciples who continue the lineage are rare, Whatever the yogi does is meaningless, leaving only a barren land. With the pride of realization, one cannot subdue the power of adverse conditions, With the skill of intelligence, one cannot practice asceticism, With the power of view, one cannot suppress the appearance of delusion, The yogi king is merely a figurehead. The chest of the learned is swollen with the salt water of terminology, The conduct of the accomplished follows after dogs and pigs, The monk takes the clinging to supreme morality as the path, In the degenerate age, what need is there to speak of the behavior of those like me? If one looks at the speech, everyone is truly a Buddha, If one looks at the actions, everyone is a sentient being, What is there to say to me and those like me? May auspiciousness arise for liberation in the inexpressible Dharma realm! One who abandons everything in essence, not just in name, possessing faith and commitment...

May the virtues of Ma Yang be such that, Immediately abandoning samsara, he enters the Dharma gate. Without studying words and terms, he strives in practice. With a simple mind, without meditating, he cuts off imputations. Accumulating causes and studying, he reaches the end of the sequence. By the blessings of the guru and the yidam, He meets the face of realization of meaning. Although there is no bustling feast of guests, As he wishes, Padmakarawang, In the fortress of Dzong Shong (a place), where the Sugatas gather. I have no words, but the essence of self-nature is revealed. Because the song is unrelated and spontaneously spoken, From now on, the wisdom of realization Will increase like the waxing moon. May the power of realization be perfected on the ground! Mangalam! Guru Kuntu Zangpo, the groundless expanse of liberation, I pray that the essence of self-awareness is inseparable. May I and all sentient beings in the six realms of samsara Be blessed to be liberated into the groundless expanse. The phenomena of the three paths of samsara and nirvana, which are fully examined, From the realm of emptiness, the clear power of awareness, Even when it arises, like the arrangement of the four elements in the sky, From the very beginning, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. The phenomena of samsara gathered by the five aggregates, And the clinging to the body, the pure lands, and nirvana, Are also the dualistic appearances tainted by conceptual delusion and mantra, Like a mirage, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. In the nature of the primordial ground, nothing is established, From the thought of self, one's own radiance appears as other. Even though it appears, it is not truly established, like the city of a gandharva, Like a city, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. In an instant when the power of awareness moves from the realm, The interdependent chain of the dualistic mind, This alternating arising and ceasing is also like a rainbow, Like the moon in water, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. Those in samsara gathered by the four births and five paths, Like the realm of meaning without clarity or obscurity, But obscured by the disease of self-grasping, they see it wrongly, Like a cataract, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. The aggregates of form, etc., that are grasped as self and mine, The power of beginningless habits long accustomed, In reality, there is nothing, appearing like a mirror's, Like an image, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. The grasping of sounds, pleasant and unpleasant, This acceptance and rejection also deceives foolish children, Words that depend on each other and have no self-nature, Like an echo in a mountain, it is the groundless expanse of liberation. Walpo, without trace, conceptual thoughts like water ripples, Cease in
