At the same time, in the center, the respective mantras for protection from fear should be written on square blue paper and inserted. During the consecration, the respective deities for protection from fear should be emanated, generated, absorbed, offered to, and prayed to from one's own heart. Then, it should be placed on the person to be protected, or the respective deity's image and mantra should be consecrated. If this cannot be accomplished, then knots should be tied on a white protection cord.

观想为救脱怖畏之神，念诵咒语并佩戴，亦能成为守护之殊胜。如法修持，更何须赘言。仅忆念亦能救脱怖畏母。依续部所写之观修念诵之善，愿有情众生永除怖畏！如是，为令众生获得施予无畏之盔甲，遵照一切智上师之教言，为易于携带而汇集无误之度母生起续、金刚手度母怙主之手印，即由无边慧于八蚌寂静处所著。吉祥增盛！一切吉祥！度母救脱八怖畏之观修念诵金刚之歌。

By contemplating as the deity who saves from fear, reciting mantras and wearing (them), it also becomes the supreme protection. What need is there to say more if one practices properly? Just by remembering, (one is saved by) the Fear-Saving Mother. By the virtue of writing down the contemplation and recitation according to the tantra, may all sentient beings be freed from fear forever! Thus, in order to bestow the armor of fearlessness upon all beings, following the instructions of the omniscient master, the unmistaken intention of the Tara arising tantra, the vajra-hand of the protector Tara, is compiled for easy carrying by Lodro Taye at Palpung Yangkhyod.
