Just as the wish-fulfilling jewel tree brings forth all desires for existence and peace, the precious teachings, combining scripture and realization, are incomparable. They are the unified source of a billion wonders, held by study and practice. I prostrate a hundred times at the crown of the heads of the noble Indian and Tibetan scholar-adepts. The excellent offspring of the precious lineage of the Practice Lineage are guided to this snowy land. The unparalleled great chariots are the Early Translation, Kadampa, Sakya, Marpa, Shangpa, Vajra Yoga, Pacification, Approach and Accomplishment, and their branches. The splendor of the wonders of the great beings who hold these captivates the mind. All of these are conceived in the womb of the great river of uncontrived wisdom, nurtured by discriminating awareness and realization. From the essence of the seed and the vast ocean of the qualities of realization, the Lord of Dharma once again opens the great door of the precious treasury of instructions. Remembering the biography of the omniscient lama, Manjushri Vajra, I bow from the heart. The profound and precious splendor of the instructions of the eight Practice Lineages, the wondrous Dharma that is completely gathered into one great treasury, is a miraculous emanation from the power of the noble one's aspiration. This source of wish-fulfillment is supremely manifest. Here, among the countless precious teachings of our incomparable teacher, the Supreme Sage, the Accomplisher of All Purposes, which are gathered in scripture and tantra in the lands of India and Tibet, the most important is the unsurpassed tradition of Secret Mantra Vajrayana, which is rare in the three times. The great chariots of the Practice Lineage guide the teachings of realization in the snowy land, and the profound instructions of the eight forms and their branches are the very lifeblood of the wisdom realm dakinis, gathered into one great treasury. These are the ways in which the wondrous and precious illusory printing of the scriptures was accomplished. When the venerable Jamgön Lama gave the ripening empowerment of the Treasury of Instructions three times, during the second time, many virtuous individuals, both new and old, without sectarian divisions, offered their own wealth and opened the doors to printing. Although the first rays of auspicious goodness initially appeared, no one was able to complete it with the same consistency between promise and practice. However, Tsurphu Monastery, Dege Nunnery, Dzogchen Khenpo Akön, Tarjé Abbot, Ziga Monastery, Palpung Chöje Lama Yönten, Athub, Gyangkhang, and others provided various kinds of assistance. In addition, many monks and laypeople made donations of various kinds, in cash and in kind, all of which were gathered here. All the offerings, large and small, were directed towards purely virtuous activities, as part of opening hundreds of doors to the treasury of space. This great Dharma treasury was mainly undertaken by the venerable Lama himself, and when he made the aspiration to have it printed, like the moon rising in the sky, with extremely pure intention, and without fatigue or discouragement in serving the venerable Lama, the wise and great attendant Tsering Dönkün Drup also assisted in this unsurpassed virtuous activity with great respect, doing everything possible to provide assistance, undertaking the wages for a large amount of printing, carving, and writing, as well as the costs of wood, etc., providing all the necessary items without any shortage, and most of the scriptures were newly carved.
