The Sixteenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Sixteenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Anujna of the Bhagavan Amitayus. The Anujna of the Bhagavan Amitayus. The Anujna of the Bhagavan Amitayus resides here. Whose body is majestic like Mount Meru, whose light is infinite. Whose speech is melodious like the drums of the gods and the voice of Brahma. Whose mind possesses the power of omniscience of all knowable things. I prostrate to that Victorious One, Amitabha. This is the order of the subsequent permission. Whatever the glorious and supreme Lama has spoken, Without error, it is clearly written down. I pray that the Lama and Dakinis bless it. Here, the Anujna of the Bhagavan Protector Amitayus has three parts: preliminary, main part, and concluding part. First, the preliminary has three parts: arranging the setting, contemplating the realization, and taking self-entry. First, arranging the setting: a mandala lotus with eight petals, a red center, four directions with their respective colors, four corners with beautiful decorations, and in the center, place the deity's symbol or a deity cluster, surrounded by offerings and tormas. In the center of the mandala, place a victory banner vase on a stand, arranged according to tradition. Also, arrange a karma vase with ornaments and a neck cord. Furthermore, arrange all the other necessary items as well. Second, accomplishing self-generation and front-generation: In a secluded place, sit on a comfortable seat, and first, practice refuge, generating bodhicitta, the seven-branch prayer, and contemplating the four immeasurables in common. विशेष(Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Specifically, purify into emptiness with the mantra of स्वाभाव(Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) स्वाभाव svabhāva self-nature. From within emptiness, this very place where you are sitting becomes the pure land of Sukhavati, made of padmaraga, beautiful and pleasing, and in the center of that, a throne made of various jewels, supported by peacocks, and on top of that, various lotuses arising from paṃ(པཾ,पं,paṃ,Lotus), and a full moon disc arising from a(ཨ,अ,a,Without). In that center, the essence of one's own mind, a red hrīḥ(藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) ह्रीः hrīḥ seed-syllable, emits light, accomplishing the two benefits. Gathering back and dissolving into light, one's own being arising from that, becomes the Bhagavan Protector Amitayus, whose body color is red like a mountain of padmaraga, whose two feet are in the vajra posture, whose two hands hold an immortal vase of life filled with the nectar of wisdom in equipoise, and whose face is smiling.

The eyes, eyebrows, and bridge of the nose are long, and the forehead is broad. Adorned with a white urna hair. The hair is in a matted topknot, with strands of matted hair hanging down. The top is adorned with five precious jewels, and the ears, neck, necklaces, armlets, bracelets, belts, and anklets are all beautifully adorned with various precious jewels. Fully endowed with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks of excellence, and the nature of illuminating the expanse of the sky with rays of light. Having contemplated this, at its crown is a white Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), at its throat is a red Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), and at its heart is a blue Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), from which light radiates. From Sukhavati, invite the Bhagavan who is like oneself, surrounded by the Buddhas and their sons of the ten directions, and dissolve them into oneself, inseparable. Again, radiate light and invite the five families with their retinues. Bestow empowerment and purify obscurations. Imagine that from the remaining water, the five families, such as Amitabha, adorn the crown of the head. Then, on the lotus and moon seat in one's own heart, from the essence of one's own mind, the red Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) syllable, surrounded by a long mantra, light radiates. When the light strikes the outer vessel, it becomes a palace; when it strikes the inner essence, it becomes Amitabha. The rays of light gather back and dissolve into oneself. Contemplate it revolving in the heart and recite the mantra. In this way, both the front generation and the vase generation are accomplished. Inside the action vase, on the lotus and sun seat, from Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) arises red Hayagriva, with two legs in a posture of stretching and contracting. The right hand holds a chopper, the left hand makes a threatening gesture. The mouth is open, with four white fangs bared. The three eyes are red and moving. The eyebrows and beard are reddish-yellow. The hair is yellowish-brown and coiled on the crown of the head. On the crown of the head is a greenish-black horse head, and the horse's neigh echoes in the expanse of the sky, and the mane blazes like the fire of the end of an eon. Adorned with snakes and jewels, and wearing a tiger skin loincloth. Having contemplated this, dissolve the wisdom being into it. The five families bestow empowerment. Amitabha seals it with his blessing. Then, from the Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) syllable in one's own heart, surrounded by a garland of mantras, light radiates. It enters the mouths of the deities of the front generation and the self-generation vase. It revolves in the heart, stimulating the mind-stream, and recites the mantra, and from all parts of the body flows a stream of nectar.
