At this time, no matter how much emptiness appears, do not focus your eyes and mind on it, but specifically keep the sky in a state of non-thought. As for meditation, the body posture and speech posture are the same as before. As for the mind posture, focus on whichever clear appearance of emptiness appears, with unconstructed clarity and awareness, and a way of looking. The awareness of the seer and the seen, just recognizing its own nature, is left without affirmation or negation, so that awareness does not remain inside, and appearance does not remain outside. Continuously remembering the nature of the inexpressible, free from elaboration, is a branch of wisdom. Experiencing emptiness as the appearance of one's own mind is a branch of thought. And knowing that it has transcended all elaborations and characteristics such as objects and subjects is a branch of discernment. The body and mind are pervaded by unprecedented bliss, which is a branch of bliss. Samadhi itself appears as bliss, and unwavering bliss is a branch of extreme pliancy. When all five branches are fully perfected, the yoga of meditation is perfected. Its uncommon signs are: radiating light, being subtle, shimmering, trembling, and indestructible, that is, in the center of the bindu possessing the five qualities, various Vajra-like illusory appearances of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, marked by numerous images of Buddhas, will arise, so that one spontaneously realizes that conventional appearances are like illusions. At this time, if the emptiness that is initially focused on is unstable and wavering, do not follow it, but persist in the way of looking and awareness that was initially focused on. Gradually, the mind will settle there, and you will gain stability in emptiness. This is extremely important. After the branch of wisdom arises, first get used to mixing small, inconspicuous objects (such as black pebbles) with karmic appearances, and then gradually expand the scope of mixing. Eventually, all appearances will become emptiness. The same should be done with sounds and so on. If you have not gained stability in emptiness, then focus solely on dissolving back into samadhi. After emerging from samadhi, look at any karmic appearance with a broad perspective, and just recognize the nature of the seer and the seen as inseparable, clear and without grasping, and cultivate on that basis. At these times, if bodily, verbal, or mental experiences of the arrival of wisdom occur, it would be a great obstacle to regard them as madness or wind disorders and treat them. It is better to let the experiences develop naturally.

May merit increase like the waxing moon! Generally, even during breaks between sessions, maintain unwavering focus, and relying on continuous mindfulness, the qualities of the path will swiftly grow. Among these practices, the recitation while visualizing oneself as Vajra Body is initially the cause of virtue and the two branches of the result. Until the Vajra Body visualization is fully mastered, even if practicing the later branches, scriptural qualities will not arise in the mind-stream, so in practice, there is no such sequence, even if one enjoys merely being interested in the nomenclature of visualization within a single session, and engaging in association like hanging something on a hook, it is similar to the previous binding. When visualizing, look directly at the space between the eyebrows, slightly tilting upwards from the straight ahead. The actual practice is the Six Unions of the Name Recitation of Manlungpa, this method contains all the essential points and is easy to practice. First, exhale slowly, strongly, and very strongly from the three nostrils—right, left, and center—three times each, for a total of nine times, holding the breath slightly externally. Then, close the lower gate and forcefully pull the downward-moving air upwards to the navel. Inhale the upward-moving air slowly, visualizing it as the sound of Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) and press it at the navel. Again, pull the downward-moving air, and if the upward-moving air becomes unbearable, inhale slightly and hold the combined vase breath, focusing the mind on the sound of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). If it is absolutely unbearable, slowly exhale the almost invisible air, thin and long, accompanied by the mental recitation of Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah). Do this as much as possible, such as one hundred or twenty-one times. As one becomes accustomed, the duration of abiding will increase, so reduce the number of repetitions. If the form of emptiness is clear, then when exhaling, focus the mind intensely on the form of emptiness. When inhaling, mix the three—air, form, and mind—into one. During the abiding phase, it is extremely important to experience the feeling of mixing or dissolving, allowing the consciousness of the knower to dissolve into the Dharmadhatu, remaining in that state is a profound key point. If one understands the practice, then during breaks between sessions, engage in flying and kneading exercises. Perform Tsa-jong (channel cleansing) and other Trulkhor (yogic exercises) as appropriate, so that the air and mind will enter the central channel, and the vase breath of the navel will be accomplished. Clearly visualize the three channels and the four chakras, and then gradually visualize the air dissolving into the indestructible bindus of the four chakras, such as the navel, practicing like the previous vase breath. This is in accordance with the practice of holding onto faith and aspiration, and from this, the blazing heat of Tummo will become powerful.
