Now abide in this. These are the limbs of meditation. As it is said: By the supreme unchanging meditation, one should completely purify the central channel. Thus it is said. Third, Prāṇāyāma has two aspects. The meaning of Prāṇāyāma is: Prāṇa is wind, and āyāma is to restrain. The ten circles of wind flowing from the right and left enter the central channel and become one. The method is to meditate on various forms of emptiness, without shaking or striking. When the ten winds enter the central channel, the breath goes in and out from the bindus of the four chakras of the navel, heart, throat, and forehead. This is the limb of Prāṇāyāma. As it is said: One should inject into the bindu of life. The bindus and chakras in order. Thus it is said. Fourth, Retention has two aspects. The meaning of Retention is: To firmly hold the prana that has entered the bindu of the central channel. The method is to meditate on the object to be retained as a form of emptiness, and the mind that retains it enters into it. The mind and wind are held in the Ham (ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanization: haṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) bindu of the great bliss chakra at the crown of the head. This is the limb of Retention. As it is said: By blocking the transference with the vajra, the yogi with firm characteristics. Thus it is said. Fifth, Remembrance has two aspects. The meaning of Remembrance is: Just as one remembers food when hungry and drink when thirsty, the wind and mind enter the bindu of great bliss, and therefore one remembers the mudra after the fire of tummo burns in the navel. The method is to meditate on the mind embracing the form of emptiness, free from all discriminations. By the power of the wind and mind entering the Ham (ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanization: haṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) bindu of the great bliss chakra, the fire of tummo burns in the navel, and the body appears as having form, and one's self is surrounded by light, and a special feeling of bliss and warmth arises in the body. This is the limb of Remembrance. As it is said: After placing the vajra in the lotus, make the bodhicitta flow upwards. Thus it is said. Sixth, Samadhi has two aspects. The meaning of Samadhi is: To abide in Samadhi with one-pointed mind on the union of appearance and emptiness, the object to be grasped, clarity and emptiness, the grasping consciousness, and bliss and emptiness, the feeling to be experienced. The method is to meditate with the three immovables. The gross and subtle discriminations of each are cut off accordingly, and the ten winds enter the central channel.

When the ten signs of dissolution are fully seen, appearances such as green and large black spots will arise. Then, on that great bindu endowed with various extremely minute particles of light, black lines will appear. Within those lines, various gross forms such as the six realms of beings will be seen, and at that time, various indestructible sound images will be heard. Within the black lines of the bindu of the time-pulse, numerous extremely subtle Nirmāṇakāya and Sambhogakāya forms will be seen, and that itself is the clear light of various forms, and that is also the Mahāmudrā. That is also the meaning of the fourth empowerment. It is said that at that time, the yogi will generate the non-conceptual wisdom of the path of seeing. Such an appearance is the clear light of the Rūpakāya. When the yogi's mind dissolves into the clear light of the Dharmakāya, becoming undifferentiated and one, then the limb of samādhi is perfected. Thus it is said: By embracing the great mudrā well, bless to bestow the vajra. Twenty-one thousand six hundred, in whatever instant one is king, I myself transform into Vajrasattva. Thus it is said. Third, summarizing the meaning: In practicing the six-limbed yoga, it is not necessary to learn in sequence. All six should be meditated upon with the three that are unmoving. That is, until the signs of the night are complete, meditate on the yoga of the night. Then meditate on the yoga of the day. If the ten signs appear completely, one can meditate on the yoga of the night at night, and the yoga of the day during the day. One can also meditate alternately as before. Thus it is said. Furthermore, do not remain merely at the stage of the appearance of signs, but continuously meditate until unsurpassed enlightenment is attained. Thus it is said. Second, the fruit of practicing in this way is: temporarily seeing the face of the Tathāgata, obtaining the supreme gift of speech, etc., and ultimately attaining the union of emptiness with object and great bliss without object, and the Buddha inseparable from the four wisdom bodies that do not change, glorious Kālacakra, etc.
