Repenting with intense remorse and rejoicing in all virtuous deeds, taking refuge and generating the mind of enlightenment, and dedicating the roots of virtue to enlightenment, these are the five branches of the continuous confession that come from the 'Gur,' plus the two branches of prostration and offering from before, making a total of seven branches, which is the meaning of 'sevenfold purification' spoken of in the writings of Kyungpo. Then, those fields of merit come before oneself through the power of compassion. Infinite rays of light radiate, thereby purifying one's aggregates, elements, sense bases, diseases, demonic influences, sins, obscurations, etc., in short, all the defilements and habitual tendencies of the three doors. Just as images appear in a clear mirror, contemplate that although oneself and the fields of merit appear as two, in reality they are without distinction. Cultivate loving-kindness, wishing all sentient beings to have happiness; compassion, wishing them to be free from suffering; joy, delighting in their not being separated from happiness; and equanimity, with impartiality without near or far. Moreover, not directed towards one direction, but the four immeasurables focused on sentient beings pervading space. The second is the accumulation of wisdom, first reciting the mantra of Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Literal Chinese meaning: self-nature), contemplate that the apprehended, which appears as other due to delusion from one's own mind, is the nature of no self-nature because it is not established as other than one's own mind. Sanskrit Romanization: śūnyatā, Literal Chinese meaning: emptiness), contemplate that those apprehended are the eight consciousness aggregates, mind and mental factors, etc., which are the apprehenders, and that is merely an appearance of the collection of causes, conditions, and interdependent origination, and apart from appearing as aspects of distinct perception, it is not determined by self-nature from the beginning. In short, because one knows that all phenomena of outer and inner are emptiness, abide in that state. These are according to the meaning of what is said in the root text, 'The protective circle, accumulation of merit, etc., extensive or concise, have been previously explained.' The second is divided into three: the yoga of generation, the yoga of recitation, and the yoga of completion. First, in the state where all phenomena have become emptiness, within the mind, clearly visualize again the protective circle that was previously meditated upon. In the center of the ground of various vajra cores, contemplate various eight-petaled lotuses and a sun disc. Although the sun disc is not clearly explained in the ordinary sadhana, it appears in the root text, and it is also clearly necessary according to the practice of the five deities of Chakrasamvara. On top of the sun,
