The Tenth Volume of "Gdams ngag mdzod (Collection of Instructions)": Empowerment of the Practice Methods of the Thel and Tshal Traditions of the Four-Armed Protector of Wisdom, transmitted from the Great Accomplisher Gwa lo. The Tenth Volume of "Gdams ngag mdzod". Empowerment of the Practice Methods of the Thel and Tshal Traditions of the Four-Armed Protector of Wisdom, transmitted from the Great Accomplisher Gwa lo. Complete with the Empowerment of the Practice Methods of the Thel and Tshal Traditions of the Four-Armed Protector of Wisdom, transmitted from the Great Accomplisher Gwa lo. Om Swasti (ༀ་སྭ་སྟི།, Devanagari: ॐ स्वस्ति, Romanization: oṃ svasti, Meaning: Om Swasti), to the unerring guide, the Lama, the Yidam deity, and the Dharma Protectors, I prostrate for the granting of accomplishments, and I shall write the practice manual. If you wish to practice the Four-Armed Great Black One, the visualization of the Yidam should precede it. If it is during the recitation period, then first offer the preliminary torma. With the intention to protect the Dharma, generate the mind to practice the Great Black One. Invite the Lama, Yidam, Dharma Protectors, etc., in the form of a merit field, and perform the seven-branch offering. For daily torma offerings, these are not necessary. In any case, arrange the offerings and torma well. Purify the offerings with Amrita (ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ, Devanagari: अमृत, Romanization: amṛta, Meaning: Immortality), and cleanse with Svabhava (སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ, Devanagari: स्वभाव, Romanization: svabhāva, Meaning: Self-nature). From emptiness, from the letter A (ཨ) arises a vast and spacious skull cup (ཀ་པཱ་ལ) of wisdom, within which, from the melting of the Hum syllable (ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanization: hūṃ, Meaning: Seed syllable), arise: offering water, foot washing water, mouth rinsing water, bathing offerings, flowers, incense, lamps, perfumed water, food, music, and other inconceivable offering items, completely filling the entire expanse of space. Bless with Om Vajra Ghanta Ranita (ༀ་བཛྲ་གྷཱཎྚ་ར་ཎི་ཏ་, Devanagari: ॐ वज्र घण्ट रणित, Romanization: oṃ vajra ghaṇṭa raṇita, Meaning: Om Vajra Bell Sound) etc. If there is a representation, then it should be generated; if not, then it is generated in the sky above the torma. That is: Om Svabhava Shuddhah Sarva Dharmah Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham (ༀ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷཱཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཿསྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ་྅ཧཾ།, Devanagari:, Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ, Meaning: Om Self-nature Pure All Dharmas Self-nature Pure I). From emptiness, it transforms into a vajra ground, surrounded by a fence, tent, and a burning wheel of fire. In front of oneself, there are eight great charnel grounds where accomplishments arise, with the guardians of the directions, the guardians of the fields, trees, fire, and water, filled with corpses, zombies, rakshasas, ghosts, heroes, and assemblies of dakinis, in the center is a land of burning jewels.

A square house with four doors and four horse stables. In the center is a round palace of burning skulls. The top is covered with skeletons. Inside and out, it is decorated with jewels, divine garments, flowers, raw hides, entrails, bone rosaries, hair whisks, and all kinds of ornaments related to the four activities. In the center, on a blazing dark blue triangular mandala, a lotus arises from paṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:प,梵文罗马拟音:paṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllable 'pam'), and a sun disc arises from raṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:र,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllable 'ram') as a seat. This is the extensive way to generate the palace for all activities. For each activity, there are separate houses corresponding to the activity. If condensed, for daily recitation, only the ground of a charnel ground is sufficient. From one's own heart, a blazing dark blue hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllable 'hum') radiates and settles on the seat. From the emanation and absorption of the light of that hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllable 'hum'), a vajra chopper marked with hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllable 'hum') arises. From that, light radiates. It cuts off all fierce enemies and obstacles, and burns their places. It gathers back and completely transforms into the glorious Wisdom Protector Mahakala, the Great Hero, whose body color is dark blue, like the clouds at the end of the earth. His three red and round eyes gaze with anger. His mouth is open, and his teeth are gnashing. His tongue is curled. He roars with laughter of haha, hūṃ hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ hūṃ,汉字字面意思:seed syllables 'hum hum'), and phaṭ phaṭ (藏文,梵文天城体:फट् फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ phaṭ,汉字字面意思:seed syllables 'phat phat'). His mustache, eyebrows, and hair are yellow, burning like fire. Of his four hands, the first right hand holds a vajra chopper, and the first left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood, holding it up and down at his heart. Alternatively, the first right hand can hold a bael fruit resembling a heart. The lower right hand holds a blazing sword in a striking posture. The lower left hand holds a khatvanga marked with a trident, complete with hanging silk banners, in a raised manner. He is adorned with a crown of five dry human heads and a necklace of fifty-one wet, dripping human heads. He is adorned with a jewel crest, four kinds of snakes, and all bone ornaments, and wears a tiger skin loincloth. In the midst of a blazing mass of wisdom fire, he sits in a heroic posture on a crossed-legged seat. Here, some new texts only have the trident, while in most old texts, the attribute is a vajra khatvanga instead of the trident, and the bone ornaments are not mentioned.
