At this time, the awareness, from the state of non-distraction, knows all arising sensations. In the very moment of knowing, it liberates them into their own nature. Therefore, it is called the wheel of awareness's spear. At that time, the object of knowledge and the knowing awareness are not established as separate entities at all, hence they are inseparable. The observing awareness also does not exist in any form of essence or characteristic. Therefore, it establishes the system of the union of awareness and emptiness. Thus, if one is too strict with mindfulness and awareness, it becomes a contributing factor to conceptual thought. If one is too lax, one will stray into delusion. The elephant of the mind should be tied to the pillar of one-pointedness with the rope of non-distraction. By meditating in this way, one does not touch either samsara or nirvana. It is without support, free from all elaborations of characteristics. No one can point it out with words; it becomes self-experienced or self-aware. There is nothing new to see, but an un fabricated, excellent view arises from within. This is the recognition of ordinary awareness in meditation. The teacher Toktsepa said: 'Ordinary awareness awakens in the center of the heart.' Lord Atisha said: 'Because one realizes without realizing, it is called the view of emptiness.' Non-seeing is seeing. It is taught in the profound sutras. In it, there is no seer or seen. Without beginning or end, peaceful. Abandoning existence and non-existence. Without conceptual thought, free from focus. Abiding is fire, without a place. Without going or coming, free from examples. Unspeakable, invisible. Unchanging, unconditioned. When a yogi realizes this, They abandon the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge. So it is said. Secondly, the interdependence of perfecting skill in post-meditation is: When meditating in this way, if the mind does not stay and wanders, then on that very thing, grasp it tightly and release it without modification, and it will be self-liberated, like putting water into water. Likewise, even for afflictions such as intense attachment, aversion, and delusion, one should not abandon them, nor should one let them be empowered, nor should one destroy them with antidotes. Whatever arises, recognize it and release it upon that, and it will appear empty and transparent. Drogon Rinpoche Phagmo Drupa said: 'Even if conceptual thoughts arise, one should not be afraid, because at the very moment of remembrance, it is established in the nature of innate awareness.'

Even if conceptual thoughts arise about the nature of phenomena, they will naturally clear away like darkness at dawn. Jetsun Milarepa said: If meditating on the nature of mind feels blissful, then conceptual thoughts are the magical displays of the mind. Now, settle those magical displays. Saraha said: As long as it arises from the mind, that is the nature of the Protector (Buddha). Are water and waves different? In the Manifestation of Perfect Enlightenment, it says: When abiding in non-conceptual samadhi, it is clear and without thought, like the sky. In the Sambuta, it says: Pacify conceptual thoughts with conceptual thoughts themselves. Similarly, with this very method, for all appearances of the six senses, first recognize the awareness that is the one who perceives, and then train in that. Having become accustomed to that, by placing it upon the appearance, the arising and liberation of appearances occur simultaneously, and thus a wondrous state called the mingling of appearance and mind arises. At that time, the genuine state arises in which there is no acceptance or rejection of whatever path arises. Saraha said: In front, behind, and in the ten directions, whatever is seen is that itself. Today, the delusion of being like a fool is cut off, and now I will not ask anyone. If one realizes it, everything is that, and no one can find anything else other than that. Reading is that, holding and meditating are also that, and explaining the scriptures in the heart is also that. At that time, samsara and nirvana, conceptual thoughts and the dharmakaya, afflictions and wisdom, all merge into one realm. When you want to arise, arise slowly, with a mind like an illusion. Do whatever good you can with body, speech, and mind. If emptiness is not grasped by compassion, it will not become the path to Buddhahood. Therefore, practice loving-kindness and compassion, the mind of bodhichitta. With a mind like an illusion, contemplate that all sentient beings may have happiness. Happiness is attaining the state of perfect enlightenment, and to attain that state, contemplate that if one possesses the cause of accumulating virtuous roots, both contrived and uncontrived, one will surely merge with the mind of loving-kindness. Similarly, contemplate being separated from suffering, that is, the state of the three realms of samsara. To be separated from that, contemplate being separated from the cause of suffering, that is, the two origins of karma and afflictions. Then, radiate light rays from your right nostril,
