Quintessential Treasury, Volume Six. Introduction to the Three Kayas. Quintessential Treasury, Volume Six. Introduction to the Three Kayas. Herein is the Introduction to the Three Kayas. Composed by Rangjung Dorje. In the ultimate, free from elaboration, non-dual, great bliss, The form like an illusion, clear and empty, without grasping, Like the sun and moon, dispelling the darkness of ignorance, I bow to Vajradhara, who realized the Great Seal. Like the sun and moon, free from eclipses, purified by clouds, With the skillful means of the Sambhogakaya, he leads beings into the sphere of reality. To the Kagyu lamas, who have the two, skillful means and wisdom, complete and without duality, I respectfully bow. Gloriously dwelling well in the midst of the snowy mountains, Maturing beings with the meaning of the three kayas, The emanation body, well-versed in the meaning of the four essentials, I bow to the Knower of the Three Times and the Protector of Beings. Therefore, here, for all the Kagyu lamas, the four essentials of body, speech, and mind, the wheel of the nature of reality, and so forth, all complete, this instruction on the introduction to the three kayas, for those of lesser intellect, there are the four preliminary dharmas, for those of middling capacity, there are the four essential dharmas, the wheel of the nature of reality, and for those of the highest capacity, there are the instructions on the simultaneous Great Seal introduction to the three kayas, these three. The introducer says. This instruction on the introduction to the three kayas is the root of all dharmas, the essence of all instructions, and the supreme, simultaneous, secret dharma. Those who wish to practice this should be shown to those who have faith, samaya, diligence, and who seek the next life. I bow to all the Kagyu lamas. Now I will show the branches of practicing the preliminaries. First, the preliminary is guru yoga. As it says in the Atiyoga Tantra: That kind lama who has kindness, In the center of the heart or the crown of the head, Or in the palm of the hand, whatever is meditated upon, Even the qualities of a thousand Buddhas, That person will attain. Therefore, it is extremely important to meditate on guru yoga beforehand. At the time of meditation, without the mind wandering elsewhere, in a state of one-pointedness, generate the supreme bodhicitta, wishing all sentient beings to have happiness and be free from suffering, and quickly attain the unexcelled bodhi.

In order to attain the precious Bodhi, for that purpose, I accumulate the two accumulations, purify the two obscurations, and through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, continuously perform virtuous deeds like a river. In this state, I contemplate the introduction of the three bodies, the four key points, and the wheel of Dharma nature. With immeasurable devotion, I visualize a moon mandala above my head. On top of it, I visualize a white Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽), which completely transforms into glorious Vajrasattva, whose body color is white with a reddish hue, radiant with light. One face, two arms, the right hand holding a vajra at the heart, the left hand holding a bell resting on the hip. Wearing a silk skirt, adorned with various precious ornaments on the body, visualize clearly. After visualizing in this way, from his thumb, a stream of wisdom nectar flows down from the crown aperture, purifying all the sins and obscurations of body, speech, and mind. At the same time, recite the following: Oṃ Vajrasattva samaya, mānupālaya, Vajrasattva tvenopatiṣṭha, dṛḍho me bhava, supoṣyo me bhava, sutoṣyo me bhava, anurakto me bhava, sarva siddhiṃ me prayaccha, sarva karma suca me, cittaṃ śreyaḥ kuru hūṃ, ha ha ha ha hoḥ, bhagavan, sarva tathāgata hṛdaya, vajra mā me muñca, vajrī bhava, mahāsamaya, sattva āḥ. After reciting in this way, the Blessed One, glorious Vajrasattva, dissolves into light and merges into oneself, visualizing one's entire body filled with immaculate wisdom nectar. As a symbol of the purification of the obscurations of body, speech, and mind, signs such as bathing and wearing pure white clothes will appear. This is purifying obscurations by relying on Guru Yoga and the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Furthermore, the instruction for practicing the accumulation of merit by relying on the mandala is: Place a mandala in front of oneself and wipe it clean, body, speech, and mind Do not scatter the mind anywhere, but remain in a relaxed state. All sounds As before. On the lotus, sun, and moon seat above one's head, visualize glorious Vajradhara, inseparable from the root guru, whose body color is extremely blue. One face, two arms, seated in the vajra posture
