Abiding is the Svabhavikakaya, its manifestation is the Dharmakaya, possessing marks and radiance etc. is the Nirmanakaya. The Nirmanakaya is a branch of great compassion, constantly benefiting sentient beings with impartial compassion. This is the fruit accomplished by five branches, namely the benefit of oneself and others. The fruit has been explained. Briefly explaining the meaning of the name: The so-called "Mahamudra" is to seal all things; the so-called "Great" is that there is nothing above it. There are three types: the cause Mahamudra is the nature of mind; the path Mahamudra has four; the fruit Mahamudra is the Dharmakaya. The first of the paths, the view Mahamudra, is beyond words, heard and understood; the meditation Mahamudra is the blending of example and meaning; the action Mahamudra is spontaneous arising; the experience Mahamudra is the union of bliss and emptiness. Vajradhara Drakpa Gyaltsen said: The Tripitaka holder, the virtuous monk Losalwa, not being able to see the face of Lodro Tenpai, therefore wrote the profound and hidden meaning into words. May the glorious Lama Dakini forgive me with great compassion. May all sentient beings, through this virtue, attain the fruit Mahamudra. I beseech the assembly of Lamas to forgive all faults, and may this accomplish the benefit of immeasurable beings, and may all obstacles on the path of myself and all my retinue be pacified.
