Absorbed into the immeasurable continuum, cutting off the suffering of samsara at its root. Thus it is said, guiding beings by the means of appearance, abiding in the realm of wisdom. Absorbed, absorbed, it is this. The meaning of what was said is as it is explained by the venerable Yeshe Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo in the essence of the Kadampa scriptures, the nectar vase of pith instructions. In brief, it does not go beyond the essence of emptiness and compassion, and is indeed the yoga of the noble Avalokiteśvara. Here, combined with the five pledges of remembrance, one takes it into practice. In the sky in front, visualize the gurus of the direct and indirect lineages and the victorious ones with their sons abiding. Guide, unequaled teacher, Blessed One, Lord of the Snow Mountains, venerable Avalokiteśvara, Queen Mother Tara, Blessed One, immovable protector, I pray to the four deities of the Kadampas. Maitreya, Asanga, Vasubandhu, Vimuktisena, Sresthasena, Vinayasena, and Yasasena, Singzang, Kusali, and Serlingpa, I pray to the lineage of vast conduct. Manjushri, Yeshe Nyingpo, Phakpa Lokeshvara, Nagarjuna, Chandrakirti, the great cuckoo of intelligence, Buddha's protector, the noble father and sons, I pray to the lineage of profound view. Great Compassionate One, Delek Dorje Chang, Chokyi Gyaltsen, Tilopa and Naropa, Palchok Domhipa and Atisha, I pray to the lineage of practice and blessing. Revealing the good path, Lord Atisha, Father of the Kadampa teachings, Gyalwa Drom, Lekpai Sherab, Gyaltsen, and the four others, I pray to the gurus of the direct and indirect lineages. Turning away from samsara, adverse conditions arise as friends, entering the great practice of exchanging self and others, cutting the root of craving, expanding with view, bless me to traverse the common good path. Entering the door of secret mantra, guarding vows as they should be, with the yoga of the deity, inseparable in depth and clarity, realizing the bindu of the heart of union, bless me to become the protector of all beings. Taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha three times without end, and generating bodhicitta, then visualizing the objects of refuge gradually dissolving into oneself. Visualize oneself as the two-armed Great Compassionate One, holding a jewel rosary and a crystal
