在寺院里，那些自诩为肩负着护持佛法重任的， 模仿着各种各样的持教者的人们， 你们如此自命不凡，究竟是谁？’ 作为回答，我说： ‘在那美丽、树木繁茂的森林里， 用美妙的声音宣说真谛的， 拥有美丽羽毛的年轻蓝喉鸟啊， 今天你来到这里，请说些佛法之语吧！’ 作为回答，他说： ‘拥有能说会道、理解意义的人身， 有资格享用深奥佛法的， 到达了僧侣上师地位的你， 拥有怎样的经教和证悟功德呢？’ 对于他的发问，我回答说： ‘如今我虽获得了此生的人身， 也遇到了佛教的善知识， 但至今为止， 也仅仅是了解了一些经教和证悟的道理， 并没有真正的佛法。’ 他说道： ‘即使获得了修法的暇满人身， 也遇到了能令佛法久住的善知识， 但仅仅停留在了解经教和证悟的层面上， 为了利益他人而沽名钓誉， 这样又能成就哪两大利益呢？’ 我说道： ‘那么，年轻的蓝喉鸟啊， 作为一位如理如法教导佛法的善知识， 如何才能真正利益自己， 请您说说成就正法的方法吧！’ 他说道： ‘将今生忙碌的琐事和 为了八法而利益他人的辛劳， 暂时远远地抛开吧！ 去往远离喧嚣的地方吧！’ 我说道： ‘您是歌唱着吉祥佛法之音的， 在天空中飞翔的美丽鸟儿， 拥有纯净蓝色光芒的您， 是从寂静的山中来的吗？’ 他说道： ‘为了向居住在禅房中的僧侣， 宣说有益的佛法， 我从令人愉悦的寂静山中， 展开翅膀飞速而来。’ 我说道： ‘从前，如同王子德云巴（dge 'dun 'bangs）以蓝喉鸟的身形利益众生一样， 如今，您是化身的妙翅鸟， 请您说说您居住地方的历史吧！’ 他说道： ‘在那翠绿光芒闪耀的， 蔓草丛生的寂静圣山中， 我们拥有许多修法的顺缘， 奇妙的景象无边无际。’ 我说道： ‘在令人愉悦的寂静山谷中， 拥有真正修法的顺缘， 以鸟的形象示现的，拥有圣者智慧的您， 请用美妙的声音来宣说吧！’ 他说道： ‘因为远离了世俗的喧嚣， 没有产生贪嗔的亲疏之分， 所以烦恼自然平息， 进入无分别的禅定之中。

In the monastery, those who claim to shoulder the heavy responsibility of upholding the Dharma, imitating various kinds of Dharma holders, 'Who are you, so self-important?' In response, I said: 'In that beautiful, lush forest, proclaiming the truth with a melodious voice, young blue-throated bird with beautiful wings, today you have come here, please speak some words of Dharma!' In response, he said: 'You who possess a human body capable of speaking, understanding meaning, qualified to enjoy the profound Dharma, having reached the position of a monastic lama, what scriptural and realized qualities do you possess?' To his question, I replied: 'Although I have obtained this human body in this life, and have also met Buddhist spiritual friends, but until now, I have only understood some of the principles of scripture and realization, and do not possess the true Dharma.' He said: 'Even if you have obtained the leisure and endowment of a Dharma-practicing human body, and have also met spiritual friends who can make the Dharma abide, but only stopping at the level of understanding scripture and realization, striving for fame and gain to benefit others, how can this accomplish the two benefits?' I said: 'Then, young blue-throated bird, as a spiritual friend who teaches the Dharma correctly and truly, how can one truly benefit oneself, please tell me the method of accomplishing the true Dharma!' He said: 'Put aside for a while the busy affairs of this life and the toil of benefiting others for the sake of the eight worldly concerns! Go to a place far away from the hustle and bustle!' I said: 'You who sing the melodious sound of auspicious Dharma, beautiful bird flying in the sky, possessing the pure blue radiance, are you coming from the solitary mountain?' He said: 'In order to proclaim beneficial Dharma to the monks residing in the meditation room, I have come swiftly from the delightful solitary mountain, spreading my wings.' I said: 'In the past, just as Prince Gewunbang (dge 'dun 'bangs) benefited beings in the form of a blue-throated bird, now, you are an emanation of the Garuda, please tell me the history of the place where you reside!' He said: 'In that solitary sacred mountain where the emerald green light shines, covered with vines, we have many conducive conditions for practicing the Dharma, and the wonderful sights are boundless.' I said: 'In the delightful solitary valley, possessing the true conducive conditions for practicing the Dharma, appearing in the form of a bird, you who possess the wisdom of a sage, please proclaim it with a melodious voice!' He said: 'Because it is far away from worldly hustle and bustle, there is no partiality of attachment and aversion, so afflictions naturally subside, and one enters into non-conceptual samadhi.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

从‘增长执持’说起，我自言自语道：‘在天空中，你拍动翅膀，发出美妙动听的乐声，如琴弦般悦耳。在这寂静的山中，你展现出奇妙的景象。请为了启发我的智慧，好好地讲述一番。’ 它回答说：‘哎呀！这奇妙的山有其独特的特点，美丽的树林像篱笆一样环绕四周，云雾缭绕，如同宫殿一般。这里是修习佛法的绝佳之地，其殊胜之处难以言表。’ 我说道：‘美丽的鸟儿，年轻的布谷鸟，冬天没有前往门隅（藏地地名）过冬，而是用你甜美的歌喉宣讲着深奥的佛法，长久地停留在这片土地上。’ 它回答说：‘如果对一个地方过于执着，就会像离开家乡的出家人一样，无法成就。如果对任何地方都没有执着，那么无论住在哪里，都会感到自由自在，内心平静。’ 我说道：‘你拥有如美丽猫眼石般的光泽，口中发出悦耳动听的声音，讲述着与佛法相符的善妙之语，拍动着翅膀，利益着众生。’ 它回答说：‘如果内心被烦恼的污垢所染污，那么外表再华丽也毫无意义。如果见闻觉知没有被佛法所改变，那么口中说再动听的佛法也无济于事。’ 我说道：‘你拥有迷人的青春，享受着夏日的快乐，枝繁叶茂，鲜花盛开，果实累累，你的歌声如甘露般滋润着我的耳朵。’ 它回答说：‘这世间的快乐如同夏日的繁华，名声和赞誉如同动听的音乐，对这些都不应有真正的需求，而应专注于深刻的真理。’ 我说道：‘太好了！你是一位精通佛法的善知识，擅长用美妙的声音宣讲佛法。今天，年轻的布谷鸟你来到这里，让我领悟了佛法的真谛。’ 它回答说：‘我用歌声引导你，向你讲述有益的教诲。你要将这些话牢记在心，如果能认真修行，我将非常高兴。’ 说完，它便在天空中盘旋飞舞，说道：‘没有任何执着的瑜伽士，没有固定的方向，不知将去向何方。像我一样，去修行佛法吧！珍惜这暇满人身，从中获取精华。’ 说完，它便唱着美妙的歌声，不知飞向何方。这是孩童般智慧的吉智（人名）为了帮助朋友而写的。 我这样做了。小巧的鸟儿拍打着翅膀。

Starting with 'Increasing Tenacity,' I said to myself: 'In the sky, you flap your wings and emit beautiful and pleasant music, as melodious as a zither. In this secluded mountain, you display wonderful sights. Please tell me well to inspire my wisdom.' It replied: 'Alas! This wonderful mountain has its unique characteristics, with beautiful forests surrounding it like fences, and clouds lingering like palaces. This is an excellent place to practice the Dharma, and its virtues are beyond description.' I said: 'Beautiful bird, young cuckoo, you did not go to Mon country (a place in Tibet) for the winter, but instead used your sweet voice to proclaim the profound Dharma, staying in this land for a long time.' It replied: 'If one is too attached to one place, one will be like a renunciant who leaves his homeland and cannot achieve anything. If one has no attachment to any place, then wherever one lives, one will feel free and at peace.' I said: 'You have a luster like beautiful cat's-eye stone, and you utter pleasant and melodious sounds from your mouth, speaking good words that are in accordance with the Dharma, flapping your wings and benefiting sentient beings.' It replied: 'If the mind is stained by the dirt of afflictions, then no matter how gorgeous the appearance, it is meaningless. If seeing, hearing, and knowing are not transformed by the Dharma, then no matter how pleasant the Dharma spoken from the mouth, it is of no benefit.' I said: 'You have charming youth, enjoying the pleasures of summer, with lush foliage, blooming flowers, and abundant fruits, and your singing voice nourishes my ears like nectar.' It replied: 'The happiness of this world is like the prosperity of summer, and fame and praise are like pleasant music. One should not have a real need for these, but should focus on profound truth.' I said: 'Excellent! You are a virtuous friend who is proficient in the Dharma, skilled at proclaiming the Dharma with beautiful sounds. Today, young cuckoo, you have come here and made me realize the essence of the Dharma.' It replied: 'I guide you with song, telling you beneficial teachings. You must keep these words in mind, and if you can practice diligently, I will be very happy.' After saying this, it circled and danced in the sky, saying: 'A yogi without any attachments, with no fixed direction, not knowing where to go. Be like me, and practice the Dharma! Cherish this precious human body and obtain the essence from it.' After saying this, it sang a beautiful song and flew away, not knowing where it went. This was written by the child-like wisdom of Kirti (a person's name) to help his friends. I did this.
