《Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD116 - A Brief Description of the Method of Offering the Four Mandala Seats through Red Tara, Called the Good Vase Fulfilling the Desire for Blessings》 7-227 《A Brief Description of the Method of Offering the Four Mandala Seats through Red Tara, Called the Good Vase Fulfilling the Desire for Blessings》 《A Brief Description of the Method of Offering the Four Mandala Seats through Red Tara, Called the Good Vase Fulfilling the Desire for Blessings》 Namo Arya Tarebhyaḥ (Sanskrit: Namo Ārya Tārebhyaḥ) Here, a brief description of the method of performing the four-mandala ritual through Red Tara: In a pleasing place, on a well-arranged offering table, display the holy Tara's image well, and gather before it mandalas and offerings as available. The one accumulating merit should also partake of the 'three white foods' (milk, yogurt, butter) that are not mixed with meat and alcohol, with unwavering motivation of renunciation and faith, and proceed as follows. First, the Refuge: The embodiment of all Buddhas, the supreme, Tara, the goddess of power, the treasure of compassion. Whose activity protects limitless beings, In her, until enlightenment, I take refuge. (Three times) Generating the Mind of Enlightenment: May all mother-like beings, equal to space, Be placed in the supreme state of perfect peace. Before the Queen of Conquerors, the venerable Arya, I strive in the means of accumulating merit. (Three times) Then, blessing the place: Purify with Amrita (藏文:ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ།), purify with Svabhava (藏文:སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ།). From emptiness, the place becomes wondrous, the nature of precious jewels, in the midst of vast expanse, possessing excellent offerings, rivaling the magic of Samantabhadra's offerings, pervading the earth and sky. Om Vajra Argham (藏文:ༀ་བཛྲ་ཨརྒྷཾ) ... until Om Vajra Shabda (藏文:ༀ་བཛྲ་ཤབྟ), and then recite: Om Vajra Sapharana Kham (藏文:ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་ཕ་ར་ཎ་ཁཾ།). Then, the general offering to the Three Jewels: With intense faith and devotion, I invite all the Buddhas and their sons who dwell in the immeasurable realms of the ten directions, And request them to abide in this wondrous field of offering. Possessing immeasurable compassion, the protector of beings, With vast activities beyond measure, Always unceasing in compassion, To the ultimate refuge, I respectfully prostrate. The Sugatas and their sons, a treasure of qualities like the ocean, Whose deeds of body, speech, and mind are beyond comprehension, Increasing wondrous love and compassion, the protector of beings, To the supreme field of merit and its retinue, I offer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homage! The wheel of all pervasive and vast realms, an inexhaustible and beautiful collection of offering clouds. All the perfections of gods and humans, I offer entirely in the form of a mandala. All the unbearable and extremely heavy sinful actions accumulated since beginningless time. In the presence of the Victorious Ones and their heirs, I confess from now on and will never commit them again. In the fields of the ten directions, the Victorious Ones and their heirs, who create objects of merit accumulation. Whatever they may be, from the depths of my heart, I rejoice in them, and I also follow their example. In the vast and boundless realms, to whomever is to be tamed, the rain of Dharma falls without end. Nourishing the lineage of beings with the nectar of the good path. The miraculous form of the body that accomplishes spontaneously, constantly manifests wondrous appearances. Without being absorbed into the realm of great peace, it continuously displays endless great miracles. In the supreme pure lands of the Sugatas and their heirs, by performing this pure and virtuous deed. May the Victorious Ones' teachings flourish, may the holders of these teachings have long lives, and may the kingdom be free from all harm. In particular, may I perfect the great accumulation of merit, reach the peak of unsurpassed omniscience. May the power to liberate countless sentient beings increase, and may I fulfill the hopes of all mother-like beings. Then, offer the mandala offering to the noble Tara three times, first: Instantly transform oneself into the body of the noble Tara. The beautiful goddess of power, the peaceful deity, with a reddish hue, covered in beautiful silk. Complete with precious ornaments, seated on a lotus and sun disc. In my heart, from the red and clear seed syllable (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ताṃ,Sanskrit Romanization: tāṃ,Chinese literal meaning: Dang), immeasurable rays of light emanate, an immeasurable collection. From the nature of pure equality, the goddess of power and her retinue, Samaja. In the space in front, in a vast expanse of rainbow light, in the center of various lotuses, the rising sun blooming. The venerable Tara, the goddess of power, shines like red coral, blazing with a thousand lights. A beautiful and charming woman, perfect in youth, with one face and two arms, the right hand giving refuge. The left hand holds a red lotus, with a smiling face, and both legs are in a half-lotus posture. Wearing a beautiful red silk upper garment, with precious ornaments hanging in all directions. Golden silk covers the upper body, and a necklace of precious new pearls sways. Golden bracelets adorn the hands and feet, and a crown of jewels blooms on the head. The wisdom of all the Buddhas, manifested as the body of Tara, I prostrate and praise with body, speech, and mind. I pray that you grant me and all sentient beings the unobstructed freedom to accomplish all deeds. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ནག་སྣུམ་
