Here begins the introduction to the Open Door of Sky. Homage to all lamas! The introduction based on the Open Door of Sky is as follows: First, empower the student so that their being becomes a vessel. Give the transmission of the preliminary practices and diligently engage in the activities of accumulation and purification. Then, when the accumulations are complete, and the signs of purification of obscurations have appeared, introduce the student to the search for mind by relying on the pursuit of awareness. Then, in the minds of those who are searching for mind, when they think that the mind is not seen when looking at itself, not found when searching, and that it must be something that does not exist, then introduce them to it. There are three aspects to this: introducing meditation through meaning instructions, establishing meditation through word instructions, and cultivating meditation through experiential instructions. The first has three aspects: the key point of posture, the key point of breathing in and out, and the key point of the mind's focus. The first is to go to a secluded place and generate the thought that for the benefit of sentient beings, I will give the introduction to the Open Door of Sky, and remember to generate this intention. Then, sit in the vajra posture, place the hands in the mudra of equipoise, straighten the spine, slightly bend the neck, keep the lips in their natural position, and stare at the empty space in front of you. The distinction of breathing in and out is that there is no need to hold the breath or exhale it, but to relax and leave it in its natural state. The key point of the mind's focus is to leave this awareness without fabrication or manipulation, just let it be. There are three ways to introduce it: recognizing it in focus, introducing it in relaxation, and repeating it. The first is that since you have been searching for the mind until yesterday, you should understand its meaning, lower your eyes slightly. Focus on the tip of your nose and look back inside at the movement of awareness. If it moves, what does the mover look like? If it remembers, what does the rememberer look like? Look at it. If you look but don't see, search but don't find, and can't grasp it, then relax in that state. Don't look, don't find anything to meditate on, and when you don't see the essence, just settle in that state. This mind is not this, there is no place to stay in it, and in that state of not being like this, relax and let go. At that time, even if you see forms in the field of vision, they are appearance-empty. Even if you hear sounds with your ears, they are sound-empty. Mind

Whatever arises in your mind, it's just empty thoughts, so don't cling to them as real. Relax and abide in the state of non-substantiality. Don't wonder if this is meditation or not. If it is, let it be! If it's not, let it not be! Let awareness abide in that state of non-substantiality. Mind without thoughts, without fabrication, without distraction, relax and abide in that state beyond thought and expression. Machig said, "When it's tight, tighten it; when it's loose, loosen it. The key to meditation lies there." The instruction for loosening is: gaze into space with your eyes wide open. Now, just drop that meditation you were doing. Don't meditate, don't think, just relax and abide in a state beyond thought and expression. Look for a boundary where there is nothing to see, and abide like that! Keep the same posture as before. Focus your eyes on the tip of your nose, and let your awareness relax, completely relax. Let go completely, and let it be. When you meditate, there is nothing to meditate on. When you think, there is nothing to think about. Abide naturally in an uncorrected state. No need to analyze, no need to calculate. Relax and abide in a state without acceptance or rejection, affirmation or negation. Relax and abide in a state of emptiness, nakedness, and nothingness, without any attachment. Because it has no inherent existence, no identifiable characteristics, and no substantiality, abide peacefully in that state. Let the awareness that has no support blend with the sky. Let the awareness that has no action dissolve into the expanse. Let the awareness that has no elaboration be free from support, so the master of the mind does not interfere with the body, and the wrinkles of the body do not interfere with the mind. Because the body is without self and the mind is without substance, relax and abide in a state where body and mind are unrelated. Machig said, "There is nothing to see in Buddhahood; realize the nature of sentient beings. In non-thought, there is nothing to meditate on; cut off the root of thought." The third is repetition: If the previous meditation is interrupted, draw in the body, look into space, exhale deeply, and do it like this! Don't pay attention to the posture of the body, don't pay attention to the breath, and awareness should not pay attention to any support. All the thoughts of the past are ashes, they are gone, they are vanished, they are stopped, so cut them off outwards! All the thoughts of the future are unborn, uncreated, and unestablished, so cut them off inwards! The thoughts of the present
