༄༅། །Herein lies the arrangement of Bumthang Lha's hidden land, called the Flower Garden. Oṃ svasti siddhaṃ. May the arrangement of Bumthang Lha's hidden land be clear, called the Flower Garden. I prostrate to all that is wondrous and marvelous! The supreme of gods, nāgas, yakshas, and the sages, accomplished ones, holders of vidyā-mantras, whose hair ornaments sway, whose feet are attended to, is the self-born lotus, worshiped with a hundredfold devotion at its crown. The land where the supreme kings and ministers of the past came, the land where wondrous temples and monasteries reside, the land where many wise and accomplished ones came in succession, the arrangement of Bumthang Lha's hidden land is vivid. A land of vast nature, central and in four directions, round on all sides like a wheel of a vase, and beautiful like an opening lotus, like a human realm unlike the human realm, as if a divine realm has descended. The mountains are delightful, green and lush, with peaks of clear white, a collection of snow mountains, with equal heights and circling in all directions, like a precious fence surrounding all around. The valleys are wide plains with many flowers and fruits, the villages are pleasing, filled with many lotuses, the directions are bright and adorned with glory, it seems as if the gods are competing with this land. This land is known as Bumthang, because the slope of the central mountain of Rab Sna resembles a vase, and the land was first settled on the north-facing plain, so it was named with a similar sound, alas! The nature of this place is beautiful on all sides, surrounded by many small lands in all directions, like Mount Meru adorned with many golden mountains, like the four continents surrounded by many subcontinents. In the center of such a vast central land, the valley of Rab Sna is beautiful on all sides, like Maitreya residing on the top of a lotus stalk. The clear rivers also flow eastward. The foundation of the excellent valley is the root of a lotus, on top of which are layers of terraces, like a thousand petals blooming, the northern mountain, King Maitreya, resides, and is adorned by the Island of Liberation. The lands are like eight-petaled lotuses, and the sky is arranged like a wheel with a thousand spokes. The radiant light of the sun and moon is also far-reaching, and the mountains and lands in all directions bow in reverence. It is the ground praised by the sacred geomancer Rinchen Dampa, it is the land of the victorious ones, auspicious and perfect, it is the mountain of accomplishment, the source of precious jewels.

Accompanied by the self-born Lotus King, the four directions of this place are like lotus petals, with four regions and flowing rivers, each adorned with numerous wonders, like a playground lake of unprecedented illusion. The self-existing Bumthang is known as the Four Regions, with places like Rab Sna Mo, Re steng, and Chu Mang. The four have existed since ancient times, hence the name Four Regions. Some believe that Ura was named later by the Tibetans. Then, the eastern valley of Ta Chu, beautiful like a jewel chariot, the land is prosperous, and the people are happy and increasing. The jewel river flows from east to west. In the upper reaches of this place, there is a hidden land with a door to enter, in the middle is the auspicious cave with footprints on the rock, and in the lower reaches are the names of numerous Dharma treasures, now known as the "place with pictures." There are many medicinal herbs, trees, flowers, and fruits, the place is vast, and nine kinds of crops grow. The trade goods from all directions are also numerous, and the local deity is also superior to other places. The southeastern jewel Ura valley, round and beautiful like a wheel, the villages are prosperous, and the local people are very numerous. The jewel river flows slowly to the southwest. In the upper reaches of this place, there is a sacred place of accomplishment, the middle direction is surrounded by monasteries, and in the lower reaches, there is an extremely terrifying demon lake, from which various fierce sounds emanate. The grass is nutritious and grows faster than other places, the trees bear good fruit, the forests are lush, the medicines are potent, and there are few kinds of diseases. The place is pleasant and the merits are immeasurable. This place is similar to central Tibet, with a pleasant balance of coolness and warmth, and autumn occurs only once. The descendants of the Dharma King's family reside here, and pure Tibetans reside here, making it particularly special. The tradition of the southern valley is extremely excellent, and the river of the Bumthang region flows, initially flowing south, then southwest, mixing with the waters of the Ganges, and flowing into the salty ocean.
