A Clear Exposition of the Ground, Path, and Fruit I pay homage. A Clear Exposition of the Ground, Path, and Fruit. Homage to glorious Samantabhadra. From the beginning, enlightenment is manifestly uncreated, Qualities without distinction are spontaneously accomplished, The realm of sudden emptiness, without beginning or end, I pay homage to the pure mind of enlightenment. The intention of the Buddhas is exceedingly wondrous, The realm of the adamantine peak, spontaneously accomplished, The definitive meaning of the reality of the ground, path, and fruit, As I have realized it, I will explain, listen. The unchanging essence of the ground, the mind itself, the realm of clear light, The essence of purity, the sugata-garbha, By ignorance, grasping, and sudden obscuration, By constantly engaging in pervasive conceptualization, Impressions are formed in objects, meanings, and mind, The manifold appearances of samsaric delusion are manifestly established. Without beginning or end, like the wheel of a chariot, The three realms, six classes, and various kinds of happiness and suffering appear, Each arranged according to their own karma. All of this is like the nature of dreams and illusions, Like a city of gandharvas, an emanation, or a mirage, Like an echo or a reflection of the moon in water, without essence, Like accumulation, dissipation, or deception, It is the nature of dependent origination, arising in reliance. Unexamined, it is pleasing; examined, it cannot be identified. Non-existent, yet appearing clearly, the self-image of emptiness, At the time of appearance, there is no true nature. Grasping the non-existent as existent is mere imputation. The object of grasping is non-existent, like the movement of dreams and illusions. The five objects, such as form, are like empty forms appearing as self-display. The essence is partless, without inherent nature, Without basis, without location, no object is truly established. Therefore, neither the grasper nor the grasped are established. All are empty, primordially pure. The mind that grasps is also without inherent nature, Relying on the alaya, the consciousness of the alaya, As well as the mind and afflicted mind, the consciousness of the five senses, The eight aggregates of consciousness, the aspects of mind, too, On the part of awareness, ignorance is superimposed, By pervasive conceptualization, it is merely designated as mind. The essence of meaning is self-empowered awareness, Especially the other-empowered fifty-one mental factors . If examined, there is no continuity, no moment, no part. The three times are unreal, empty due to arising, ceasing, and abiding. By what does what grasp? What inherent nature is there in that? Without color or shape, direction

Without edge, without center. Separated from thought, of the nature of space. Transcending the boundary of having and not having. Because it is inherently selfless and free from elaboration. The mind of grasping has no self-nature. Thus, the very absence of grasper and grasped. Is the state of original purity, the essence of meaning. Because the defilement of differentiation is truly empty. Samsara is understood as merely a name, an illusion. Entering the realm of the luminous essence of the heart. The vessel and essence, the basis of support, are like the womb of the sphere of space. The arising of all samsara and nirvana is the mind of enlightenment, bodhicitta. A vast expanse without beginning or end. Emptiness and clarity, unchanging, free from elaboration. Like the sun and the sky, free from limitations and partiality. Like a jewel, virtues are spontaneously accomplished. Without beginning or end, there is no change in the three times. Uncompounded, transcending all causes and conditions. The ultimate sphere, a place of depth and vastness. Although it exists in everyone, it is a meaning difficult to realize. The base sphere is unchanging and free from elaboration. Just as the vessel and essence arise in the state of space. All phenomena appear in the state of awareness. Like space and the vessel and essence, the entity and the possessor of the entity. Awareness and all phenomena are the sphere and the appearance of the sphere. If the appearance and the basis of appearance are analyzed, they are in the state of emptiness. Transcending all parts of one and many. Whatever arises, such as the formation, duration, destruction, and movement of the vessel and essence. Just as the nature of space does not change. Whatever arises, such as the appearance of existence, samsara and nirvana, good and bad. The nature of awareness remains without change. From the original emptiness of awareness, the self-nature is completely pure. It cannot be indicated as "this," transcending all thought and expression. Not existent, not non-existent, free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. The central consciousness is invisible, originally unborn. The state of spontaneously accomplished bodhicitta from the beginning. The great mandala of the vajra realm. Whatever arises is like crystal and jewel. Free from sides and factions, pure and without defilement. Non-dual, beyond thought, unchanging, suchness. The ultimate essence, the primordial Buddha. The state of the basis of all phenomena. If the sphere-base is not realized, it becomes a view of emptiness. Merely clinging to emptiness, clinging to the sphere as self. It becomes eternalism and nihilism, contradicting the meaning of freedom from extremes. Samsara is without a basis, the characteristic of annihilation. The basis of nirvana, the two spontaneously accomplished. Sphere and sphere appearance, space
