By nurturing and blazing, it burns away karma and habitual tendencies. By focusing the mind on increasing bliss and meditating, warmth and wisdom will arise. At midnight, gather what is to be known into a vase: Lie down on your right side. Visualize the central channel as clear, filled entirely with white A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) like stacked sesame seeds. Especially, visualize the red four-petaled lotus flower of the sleeping heart as slightly open, and visualize one A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) gradually dissolving into another A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿). Tame the breath in the heart and hold it. Clearly meditate on emptiness. As you fall asleep, within the round lotus petals of the heart, focus on the white and radiant A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), clear like a lamp inside a vase. By sleeping in this way, luminosity will dawn in sleep. Then, when you wake up, if there are no dreams and you are in a clear and empty state, do not lose that experience, continue to meditate. If you dream, gather all dreams and thoughts into the A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) in the heart. Meditate as before, and luminosity will dawn. In this way, falling asleep, you see nearby forms, hear sounds, smell odors, taste flavors, feel touch, understand the meaning of speech without generating thoughts. This is the cause of awakening. By becoming accustomed to this state, at all times, all phenomena do not deviate from the meaning of the Great Perfection, which is non-dual. Therefore, by the dawning of clear emptiness in sleep, luminosity is realized. In the early morning, place awareness in self-luminosity: Then, get up early in the morning and, in the lion posture, exhale three long breaths with a "Ha" sound and hold them. Visualize the A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) in the heart coming out from the Brahma's aperture, hovering in the sky about an arrow's length above the crown of the head. Focus on this without distraction and meditate, remaining in the state of holding the breath outward. Then, a samadhi that does not conceptualize anything will arise. Then, the eyes and awareness become increasingly red. Half-close the eyes and look downward. Gathering the A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) of awareness into the heart, dullness subsides. If you feel agitated again, meditate as before, raising the gaze. Then, the wisdom without dullness or agitation will naturally dawn like a stream of non-conceptual thought. Thus, by meditating in sequence during the three watches of the night, adorned with the noble samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptual wisdom, the vajra nature of the heart dawns on the path. This is the intent of the three kayas being inseparable. That itself.

Through continuous practice, the qualities of the path and fruition, such as the divine eye and clairvoyance, will manifest and be accomplished. The wisdom of the four appearances will be perfected, and one will attain non-abiding nirvana, which is inseparable from Samantabhadra. Therefore, in all instances of meditating day and night, since it is difficult to obtain leisure and endowment, one should strive not to let leisure be wasted. Knowing that life is impermanent, one should not think there is time for practice. Knowing that samsara is suffering, one should develop renunciation for existence. Since all phenomena are without inherent existence, one should not have any clinging to truth in anything. Since nirvana is supreme bliss, one should cultivate peaceful enlightenment. Since secret mantra is accomplished through skillful means, one should train in various paths. Since the Great Vehicle relies on compassion, one should possess the mind of benefiting others. Since blessings rely on faith and devotion, one should see the guru as the Buddha. Since everything depends on one's own mind, one should train in impartial pure perception. Since samsara arises from delusion, one should cut the root of grasping and clinging. Since happiness and suffering arise from past actions, one should adopt and abandon virtue and non-virtue. Since samsara and nirvana arise from awareness, one should recognize the essence of awareness itself. These twelve key points are for taming one's own mind-stream. Furthermore, they are extremely important instructions, so one should contemplate them from the depths of one's heart. Thus, the meaning of the profound and direct essence of the heart, in order to become a companion for meditation, cherish all of this, just as turquoise is inlaid on precious gold. For the key points within key points, it has been well spoken. The meaning spoken by the previous vidyadharas, gathered and compiled from profound sources, may it meet with fortunate heart-sons of later generations, and thereby diligently accomplish enlightenment! Even though I alone enjoy the peaceful forest, may the aspiration and pure white karma be connected, so that for beings mixed with faith and lack of faith, it may become a small benefit in words. Nowadays, even if someone like me strives in this era, if it cannot become beneficial to others, nor can it become pure, then for the sake of self-benefit, the samadhi of peace becomes a cause for decline. What should one do with this kind of thing? Consider whether there is any meaning. In this life, there is no attachment, nor the slightest desire. Even if body, speech, and mind are diligently dedicated to benefiting others, it becomes a cause for jealousy, harsh words, and sin. Being controlled by displeasure, is there any benefit to beings?
