Herein Resides the Profoundly Deep Wisdom Wheel. To the Lama, the source of all attainments, I prostrate first and foremost. For the sake of the fortunate, I write the essential points of practice, the Profoundly Deep Wisdom Wheel. For the secret heart yogi, as an aid to manifest practice, how to meditate day and night continuously is condensed into two: during the day, cultivate appearances; at night, strike the essential point of wisdom. The first has three parts: The ground, the view of great primordial liberation, is: outer appearances, inner awareness. All phenomena encompassed by appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, from the aspect of appearance, manifest as a play of dreams and illusions, yet from the aspect of emptiness, it is free from all extremes of elaboration of existence and non-existence, like the sky. Not being this or that, existing or not existing, biased or unbiased, good or bad, acceptance or rejection, samsara or nirvana, etc., not being established as any essence, it is the state of being without bondage or liberation. Deciding that it is primordially liberated into non-existence, without engaging the mind's grasping in whatever appears or arises, placing the mind in the state of great equanimity free from extremes, is called the intention of the nature of reality, primordial liberation. When cultivating in this way, in the vast expanse of the nature's freedom from extremes, do not sever the sky with clinging to extremes. Whatever arises is the magical display of awareness, in the great primordial liberation of equanimity, do not attach the stains of faults and virtues with clinging to acceptance and rejection. In the unbiased, sky-like intention, although there are no boundaries of sessions, until dualistic grasping is exhausted into space, maintain the awareness free from distraction and elaboration like the flow of a river. These three are the samaya of the view. The path, the great total liberation, has two parts: In equipoise, placing the mind in the state of the nature of reality like the sky is: at the time of whatever appears or arises, release ordinary consciousness into its own place. Without engaging the mind in any phenomena of samsara or nirvana, it is great equanimity. Do not tighten up with deliberate effort. Do not stray into being lax and uncontrolled. Do not transform awareness into conceptual thought. Abiding the mind in a state of clarity and freshness is called the intention of the essence, primordial purity. At that time, not being moved by the sphere of reality, the waves of conceptual thought do not become turbulent. .The nature being clear and stainless, it does not enter the confines of sinking and excitement. .Being free from mind and action, transcending effort, one does not cling to the experience of bliss and clarity. These three are the samaya of meditation. Then rising, in the intervals between sessions,

Training the mind in the meaning of the non-existence of phenomena in the post-meditation state: Like this, all phenomena that appear are known as dreams, illusions, mirages, eye diseases, echoes, water moons, fire wheels, and cities of gandharvas. Without being distracted in the state of not being established as true for even a moment, diligently practice. All dualistic minds such as attachment, aversion, acceptance, rejection, high and low, meditate on the great liberation of non-duality, which is called the view of spontaneous self-illumination. At that time, since the nature is non-dual, do not view appearance and awareness as different entities. Since the meaning is without essence, do not cling to biased sectarianism. Since the nature transcends extremes, do not accept or reject conditioned appearances. These three are the samaya. In the path, samadhi is meditation, and post-meditation is action. Know it as the great self-illuminating non-attachment. The fruition is the great self-knowing self-liberation. No matter how it appears, there is nothing that is not liberated in its essence, so do not grasp outward with the mind. No matter how it is known, there is no clinging to conceptualization, so self-liberation is not defiled by clinging, and it is not maintained inward with the mind. Since appearance and awareness arise as self-liberation, relax like butter in a state without calculating right or wrong. This is called the view of the great spontaneous perfection. At that time, since you are in primordial liberation, recognize that there is no need to liberate again. Since you are in self-liberation, believe that there is no need to move any appearance. Since you are in complete liberation, be certain that there is no need to pursue antidotes. Since you are in immediate liberation, have confidence without any before or after in time. These four are the samaya. Thus, guarding the three bases, paths, and fruits with the thirteen great samayas is called increasing appearance during the day. Second, at night, hitting the essential points of wisdom is divided into three parts. At dusk, gathering the essential points of the senses: Arrange the body posture of a sage, exhale three times the impure air, gently inhale the smooth air, draw in the lower air and press down the upper air. The nadi Avadhuti is as thick as an arrow shaft, white and bluish. Inside, from the secret place to the crown of the head, in the center of the four-petaled lotus at the navel, the short A (ཨ,A) is red, the touch is hot, and it rises like a burning fire. The white HUM (ཧཾ,HAM) of the crown looks downward, and awareness descends the stream of white and red bindus. The fire strikes the A (ཨ,A).
