A letter offered before the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel. A letter offered before the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel. At the lotus feet, the precious Wish-Fulfilling Jewel: Reporting on the situation here, we departed from the auspicious place of Gya on the 15th of the first month, crossing the Bhongchu River in a clockwise direction. Arriving in the direction of Dingri (present-day Dingri County, Shigatse City, Tibet), even the arrogant non-humans like Lhatsen Gangmar were delighted. We brought a large amount of gold to Nepal for restoration. It is said that the body of the holy elephant cart merged into it, and the relics such as the body bones are particularly extraordinary. The holy one praised this place as being like Bodh Gaya, so we offered continuous light offerings day and night. For the benefit of many beings, we performed a large Torma offering and a peaceful fire offering. Similarly, at the monastery of Drogon Chogyal Phagpa, one of the four Gedings, Nazum Geden, where in the past, Bodong Jigdral Virupa is said to have personally spoken the Lamdre (Path and Fruit) and merged into it, we also offered whatever offerings we could to the highly blessed handprint of Virupa, and prayed for auspiciousness as much as possible. We traveled only along the road between Menkhab lower and upper, Pama, and Paku. From the mountainside known as Jomo Jyamar, we stayed briefly at Gungthang, where the great teacher went to subdue the Rakshasas, near the place called Thogga or Bird Pass, crossing the Bird Pass. During this time, in places where non-humans gather, we offered large Tormas for the long life of the holy one and the well-being of beings. Each day, representing three hundred, five hundred, and two to three thousand people, regardless of hardship, we gave longevity empowerments, especially urging those who have been reciting the six-syllable mantra for more than twelve years to commit to reciting three hundred six-syllable mantras daily without interruption. Sometimes we also gave lay vows, etc., although we ourselves lack merit, we try our best to guide others into Buddhism. Afterwards, in Kyirong Jyamchin and Phagpa Wati, we also made light offerings as usual, and offered extensive prayers. The various villages strongly requested market empowerments, but to avoid complications, immediately in the victorious month,

On the 22nd, I embarked on the road to Nepal. Near the palace of Dorje Besye Jinma (Vajravarahi), the decree of the lotus feet throne arrived. Since I had already embarked on the road to Nepal, I decided to go to Nepal once more. Betang was said to be a great sacred site of Guru (Padmasambhava), so I made a grand tsokhor (feast gathering) as much as I could afford. Then, on the banks of the Zlaga Namgo (Moon Gorge Sky Gate) river, Du, and on the banks of the mountain king Nila Kantha (Blue-necked Avalokiteshvara) river, Gangto Donglung, to those who spoke a distinct dialect of the Tamang people, I gave the torwang (offering empowerment) and the lung (transmission) of the six-syllable mantra according to their wishes. After that, crossing the dense forest Singa Wana on the border of Nepal and Tibet, it took three days. After passing through the Tibetan castle, I crossed the river that scholars call the Ganges, and stayed in Tsawa Shod for about fifteen days for the sake of the stupa's life-force (life-tree). Many Brahmins came to request vidya-mantras, and I gave many subsequent permissions through translation. King Gorkha himself showed great respect and seemed to want to receive vidya-mantras, but due to the circumstances, this was postponed. There, the Nepalese carpenters had not arrived, and I was very anxious, so I set out on the road, and met the carpenters on the way. In a dream, there was a vision of good omens if I stayed in that place for a while, but because I had to go as soon as possible, and the King of Nepal also strongly urged me to come immediately, I came to the heart of Nepal. Before the work on the stupa's life-force (life-tree) was completed, Gorkha and Yambu (Kathmandu) would not fight each other, and each wrote a letter of guarantee. In Naga Gamir, the King of Yambu himself and tens of thousands of Nepalese people came to greet me. Remembering the Buddha's teachings and the four seals, I circled those people and entered the city of Yambu. I proclaimed the Buddha's name and dharani mantras, and prayed for auspiciousness as much as I could. The sadness of impermanence was particularly strong in my heart, so much so that I could hardly sleep that night. After that, next to the great Swayambhunath Stupa, I took up residence for a while in an old temple called Kimda in the Nepalese language. At the great Swayambhunath Stupa, I repeatedly performed tsok and offerings as much as I could. I also wanted to do the same in Kashmir, but due to the local situation, the native inhabitants there were very prone to encroachment, destruction, and extortion of sacred objects, and sometimes even conflicts arose because of this.
