One night, as I sat on the seat of power as black as eye medicine, on the path that went upwards, I saw a dilapidated place like an old monastery, and from within emerged many unpleasant figures of monks, women, cripples, blind people, beggars, and raggedly dressed individuals. I noticed a woman among them, and she urged me, "These are the nine demon brothers, so bind them with oaths." Then, with the pride of the Great Black Horse-Voiced One, holding a scripture in my hand, I placed it on their heads and constrained them with the powerful truth of the oath, and they promised not to disobey my command and offered their life essence: Ya Tri Ja (Tibetan: ཡ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यत्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: yatri ja, Literal meaning: Ya Tri Ja), Ya Tri Ja (Tibetan: ཡ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यत्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: yatri ja, Literal meaning: Ya Tri Ja), Ma Tri Ja (Tibetan: མ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मत्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: matri ja, Literal meaning: Ma Tri Ja), Ma Tri Ja (Tibetan: མ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मत्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: matri ja, Literal meaning: Ma Tri Ja), Ma Khu Tri Ja (Tibetan: མ་ཁུ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मखु त्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: makhu tri ja, Literal meaning: Ma Khu Tri Ja), Ma Khu Tri Ja (Tibetan: མ་ཁུ་ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मखु त्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: makhu tri ja, Literal meaning: Ma Khu Tri Ja), Tri Ja (Tibetan: ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: tri ja, Literal meaning: Tri Ja), Tri Ja (Tibetan: ཏྲི་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: tri ja, Literal meaning: Tri Ja), Bhram Ja (Tibetan: བྲམ་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रम ज, Sanskrit Romanization: bhram ja, Literal meaning: Bhram Ja), Bhram Ja (Tibetan: བྲམ་ཛཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रम ज, Sanskrit Romanization: bhram ja, Literal meaning: Bhram Ja). After offering this, I awoke from the dream. At the age of twenty-two, when offering the teachings of Tummo yoga to the Vidyadhara Padma Wangyal in Shindu Tingri, one night, a mantra holder like the venerable mother Jaya Mutra, during the empowerment in the mandala of the near protector Black Lion (Sengge Nagpo), the flower of wisdom fell to the south, thus prophesying that I would have dominion over the throne, and I dreamed that I was given the secret name Padma Tobden Tsal (Lotus Powerful Mastery). In the summer of that year, when I was in Brtzen, in a dream mingled with luminosity, I had the vision of going to a place like the sacred site Kadro Lod. There, a man wearing a leather helmet and leather armor, holding a copper knife in his right hand and a leather shield in his left, standing amidst a swirling black storm of wind around his body, offered the essence of his life: Tsa Tri Tsa Tri (Tibetan: ཙ་ཏྲི་ཙ་ཏྲིཿ), Tsa Mun Tri Shu La (Tibetan: ཙ་མུན་ཏྲི་ཤུ་ལཿ), and when he was about to say the secret name, he vanished before finishing. Also, at the beginning of my twenty-third year, when I was severely afflicted by a terrible headache at Chirong Zal Monastery, a malicious Gyalpo demon appeared disguised as Lama Rangjung Chadän, and with the steadfast pride of the Great Supreme Vajra Krodha (Dorje Drolo), I struck his body with the vajra until he was pulverized like copper ash. He prostrated, promised not to violate the oath, and gave up the dance. Then I asked him, "Will I be freed from this illness? What is the cause of this illness?" He replied, "Listen, noble Vidyadhara. The cause of this illness is the protectors' opposition."

I, in particular, because of relying on a woman with shadows as a mudra, the dakinis were displeased, and it manifested as a disease of imbalance of the four elements. This time there will be no danger of death, it is best to perform a ritual to dispel the dakinis' shadows. Thus he said. Again asked: Nowadays some people say that King Pehar has become a Buddha, is that true? He replied: The Dharma King Pehar, now is near the bamboo grove of Samye (bsam yas), facing the country of Oddiyana (o rgyan), although he resides there, how can you say he has become a Buddha? At the juncture of thirty years or three hundred years, Samye will be destroyed by fire and will depart. After that, King Pehar will also go to the Oddiyana temple. Thus he said. Again asked: King Pehar, having become a lay practitioner in the presence of the Great Master of Oddiyana, having vowed to abstain from harming beings, and being known as an eighth-level Bodhisattva, then is there a reason for harming beings in general and Dharma practitioners? Do the retinue of incense-smelling demons cause harm, does the main deity know? In response: The king is at the boundary between samsara and nirvana, he himself acts according to the Dharma, although he does not cause great harm, whatever he thinks in his mind, all benefits and harms are accomplished by emanations. Whatever the main deity intends in his heart, the retinue strives without hesitation. Therefore, he probably knows. I am only in the manner of a small king, as an emanation of the great king. Thus he said. He also spoke some answers to questions about hidden matters, but some I will not speak because they are rambling, and some I have forgotten because it has been too long. Finally, reciting the fierce "PHAṬ" (藏文,फट,phaṭ,断), and awakened with the feeling that he had gone to the east. Also at that time, in a vision of mingled experience of luminosity and chaos, there appeared a young man named Svamaste'uso (སྟྭ་མ་སྟེའུ་སོ་), who was in the prime of his youth, adorned with jewels, riding a pale yellow horse, and also a woman with turquoise ornaments, and then I went with them to his place, he gave me a warm, soft, very spacious, white as molten moon cloth, I put it on, and on the way there were many fierce spirits riding piebald horses, when the main deity saw Svamaste'uso, he lay face down on the road, and I saw his body curled up. Then we were in front of a small lake with a jade staircase arranged in a row.
