The axle of the cart filled with wool broke. Piles of wool were heaped on the road, and the group of six monks carried heavy loads of wool like mountains, causing some to be afraid. Some, due to disbelief, stipulated that they should not carry heavy loads exceeding one yojana or three yojanas. Second, soliciting out of attachment, carrying heavy loads of wool, etc., if exceeding one yojana in a day, it will be abandoned. Seventeenth, instructing nuns to wash and beat wool. Among them, the first is: When the Buddha was residing in Sravasti, the group of six monks instructed the nuns to wash, beat, and dye wool, causing the nuns' hands to become like those of butchers. The Buddha, upon seeing this, established the precepts. The second is: A monk instructing a non-relative nun to wash wool, etc. Eighteenth, accepting gold and silver. Among them, the first is: The group of six monks personally accepting precious jewels or having others accept them, thus being ridiculed by non-Buddhists, so the precepts were established. The second is: A monk touching and accepting precious jewels such as gold and silver with attachment. Nineteenth, commercial loans with obvious signs. Among them, the first is: The group of six monks allowing others to profit from precious jewels, thus not being trusted by non-Buddhists, so the precepts were established. The second is: Due to attachment, allowing non-relative householders to profit from precious jewels. Twentieth, intentionally doing business, divided into two types. The first is: The group of six monks profiting from items other than precious jewels, so the precepts were established. The second is: A monk being attached to enjoyment, engaging in commercial loans and profiting from items other than precious jewels. Twenty-first, an unblessed bowl, holding it for more than ten days, divided into two types. The first is: When the Buddha was residing in Sravasti, the group of six monks accumulated many bowls and held them, thus not being trusted by others, so the precepts were established. The second is: A monk holding a remaining unblessed bowl for more than ten days, still holding it at the dawn of the eleventh day, it will be abandoned. Twenty-second, holding two bowls, divided into two types. The first is: A boy selling incense obtained a bowl and gave it to a beggar, who said no. Twenty-two people heard this and demanded the bowl from the boy, recognizing him as a broken monk.

He did not give it. At that time, Nears Delight said, "If I don't get this alms bowl, Nears Delight will die," and had a faithful householder buy it. After getting the alms bowl, he said all sorts of unpleasant things to the boy about what an alms bowl is. Therefore, he established the rule against those who do not have faith. The second is: Even though one has an alms bowl, if one diligently seeks an alms bowl for a householder who is not a relative, if one obtains it, one commits the offense of relinquishment of "holding two." Twenty-third, having someone weave without paying wages, the first of which is: Nears Delight found many threads and carried them to the head of the weavers. He praised, "The wise are very clear from afar, like a mountain with snow. The unwise are not clear, like shooting an arrow in the dark." The weaver said, "If there is thread, I will weave it," and had him weave it, but did not pay wages, therefore he established the rule against those who do not have faith. The second is: Entrusting weaving to someone who is not a relative of the monk without paying wages, and then taking it back. Twenty-fourth, expanding the weaving area. There are two of these: The first is: When the Teacher was staying in Sravasti, a couple initially had disagreements, and the family's wealth decreased. Nears Delight reconciled them, and in gratitude, they said they would weave a cloth to offer. When Nears Delight heard this, he went to the weaver and gave him the weaving tools, telling them to make this cloth long and wide, and to weave it well, which caused the householder's property to be greatly depleted. Therefore, he established the rule against those who do not have faith. The second is: Giving a non-relative householder more cloth than estimated, and giving the weaver a small wage to expand the weaving area. Twenty-fifth, taking back the clothes given by the monk, the first of which is: When the Teacher was staying in Sravasti, Nears Delight gave clothes to a monk named Dharma (chos) who lived with him, but later he did not obey. Nears Delight said, "I gave you clothes thinking you were considering the Dharma, but if you don't obey, give them back." So he took the clothes back, therefore he established the rule. The second is: After giving clothes or an alms bowl, etc., to someone else, taking it back. Twenty-sixth, permanently donated clothes. Taking possession of them earlier than stated when announcing the donation. There are two of these: The first is: When the Teacher was staying in Sravasti, in the monastery of Rirak, merchants offered the summer's gains, and the group of six monks took those.

Having consumed the food and exhausted it, and the precepts established for merchants who do not believe. Secondly, this is the abandonment arising from appropriating the gains of the Sangha's rainy season at an inappropriate time. Twenty-seventh, in a monastery, in a situation of fear, being separated from robes for more than seven days. This has two points, the first being: When the Teacher was staying in Shravasti, some monks agreed to stay in the mountains for the rainy season. A patron offered great wealth, but robbers made the monks arrive naked in Shravasti at night. The Teacher heard this and allowed monks staying in monasteries to be without their Dharma robes for up to six days without fault, but the Group of Six exceeded this limit, so the precept was established. Secondly, a monk being separated from the three Dharma robes blessed for up to seven days is the abandonment of separation from the monastery. Twenty-eighth, the large cloth has been distinguished, but half a month has passed. This has the first point: A monk searches for the large cloth for the rainy season robe one month before accepting the rainy season retreat, and after distinguishing it, within half a month, that is, five and a half months, if he searches and holds it elsewhere, it should be abandoned. Twenty-ninth, appropriating the gains dedicated to the Sangha. This has two points, the first being: When the Teacher was staying in Shravasti, a beggar made some householders have faith, and they dedicated a piece of cloth to the Sangha. Nera converted it to his own use and spoke badly to others, so the precept was established. Secondly, appropriating for oneself the items dedicated to the Sangha. Thirtieth, storing medicine for more than seven days. This has two points, the first being: When the Teacher was staying in Rajagriha, many monks blessed medicine and left it, and because it was too long, it rotted and became moldy, so the precept was established. Secondly, medicine received in the morning, if the blessing received in the afternoon has not expired, holding it, or holding the received medicine beyond the prescribed time, or holding the blessed seven-day medicine beyond that limit, because it exceeds the time, it will become the abandonment of storage. The so-called life-sustaining medicine refers to medicine allowed to be held until the end of life. If it exceeds this limit, there is no basis for incurring a downfall, so it will not become a downfall here. When confessing these, for the object in which the downfall occurred, give it to others.
