Now practice. Even the Tathāgata of the retinue becomes tamed in their continuum through the four activities. Therefore, what need is there to mention that other disciples need to tame their continuum through activities? This is the concluding remark. Third, indicating the chapter title: The clear... Chapter 20. It is written there. From the Secret Essence Tantra, the only definite understanding, because the secret is difficult to understand, contains ten essential points, uniquely excludes others, is definitely without doubt, and "activity" is called the basis of the chapter title. The chapter is called "Spontaneously Accomplished Activity Empowerment," which is the twentieth chapter. Because in this way, the four activities that are spontaneously accomplished from the beginning in one's own mind will manifest, it is called empowerment. Because the words and meanings of the scripture can distinguish chapters and sections and determine boundaries, it is called a chapter. Its number is twenty-two, and here it refers to the twentieth chapter counted from the beginning. In the commentary on the Secret Essence Tantra, the only definite understanding, called "The Lamp Illuminating the Tantric Meaning, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel," is the detailed explanation of the meaning of the text of the twentieth chapter. Now, this is to explain the twenty-first chapter. If we consider it from the perspective of defining the categories of Dharma, for those of superior intellect, from the three categories of Dharma—basis, path, and result—it explains the path and the result. In the path, it explains the path of liberation from the two paths of means and liberation. In the two methods of gradual and sudden, it explains the gradual method. In the three characteristics, it explains the characteristic of the complete fruition of the result. In the four appearances, it explains the appearances of the path and the result. For those of intermediate intellect, from the five categories of Dharma, it explains the meaning of the tantra. Among them, there are ten objects, and it explains the offering of praise. In passing, it briefly mentions the mandala and activities. For those of inferior intellect, from the ten words of the method of explanation, it explains through the three methods of metaphor, example, and general rule. Thus, this twenty-first chapter, which explains, has three meanings: narrating the history of what was said, indicating the text of the chapter, and indicating the name of the chapter. First, narrating the history of what was said: Then, the Bhagavan... sang this song. It is written there. Then, refers to the spontaneously accomplished wrathful deity mandala of the nature of complete fruition and the superior samādhi body.

To fully demonstrate the mandalas of speech and mind, it is praised, hence it is called "Nana." The Bhagavan Great Joy is in harmony with the syllables, and the assembly of mandalas sings this song with extremely majestic radiance. Therefore, the mandalas of the assembly of many wrathful deities, all with smiles on their faces with wrathful expressions, with extremely majestic radiance, with sound and flavor, sang the six songs of praise that will appear below for the sake of those to be tamed. Second, the teaching of the chapter's text is divided into two parts: the text itself and the manner in which the text is taught. First, the text itself has six aspects: praise of the body, praise of speech, praise of mind, praise of qualities, praise of activities, and a general praise of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, which is also praise of the great empowerment mandala. First, the praise of the body is: Hum. Great Wrathful One... Great devourer Hoh. It is there. Hum is the song itself, because it is the adornment of wisdom, it is the beginning of the song. The Great Wrathful One blazes like the fire of the end of time. Therefore, the mandalas of the wrathful deities of nature, fruit, and ultimate completion all have three characteristics: majestic wrathful teeth, clenched fangs; blazing wrathful body, with terrifying attire; wrathful hands performing fierce activities, holding various terrifying weapons. Because they are superior to demons and yakshas, etc., they are great. For the body of such a wrathful deity, the unbearable flames, like the great fire that destroys the world at the end of the age, burn like a hurricane, burning and shaking like a mountain of fire and a pillar of fire. Radiance surpasses a million suns. Therefore, the radiance that dispels darkness is bright, the radiance of skillful means is numerous, and the radiance of great compassion pervades everything. They are like a million suns rising simultaneously, the radiance subduing everything with blessing. The wrathful eyebrows shine like a thousand flashes of lightning. Therefore, the wrathful eyebrows of subjugation are concentrated on the forehead, the wrathful eyebrows of suppression stand upright like a trident, and the wrathful eyebrows of skillful means move in various parts of the body. They are like a thousand flashes of lightning at the same time.

Shining like a flash of lightning. The teeth are copper-colored and devour evil. This means that the teeth that sever the cycle of birth and death are white and long and copper-colored; the teeth that devour wickedness have red roots; the fierce teeth are very sharp; such teeth blazing with copper color, because they devour evil, are unparalleled, hence they are said to be great. Ho signifies satisfaction with these praises. Second is the praise of speech: Hum. Fierce... Great disturbance Ho. Hum itself is the song. The fierce sound roars like a thousand dragons. This means that the face of great emptiness is fierce, the tongue of great blazing is fierce, the teeth of great liberation are fierce, and the voice proclaims fiercely. The sound of fierce tones, the sound of terror, such as Ah Ah and Phat Phat, etc. These sounds are like the roar of a thousand dragons at once, the fierce tones are terrifying. The sound of toppling a hundred thousand Mount Merus. This means that at the time of invocation, the great clamor of the gods descending is great; at the time of subduing Rudra, the fierce clamor of activity is intense; at the time of emanation, the clamor of confused emanations is numerous. These sounds are like the sound of toppling a hundred thousand Mount Merus at once. The great laughter of Ah Ah Hala is loud. This means that the intimidating laughter towards the wicked is Ah Ah, the furious laughter towards the wrathful is Hala, the joyful laughter towards the delighted is Haha, and these peals of laughter are extremely loud. The scattered wind of the bellows greatly disturbs. This means that the bellows that gather the retinue are melodious, the bellows that subdue wickedness are fierce, and the bellows that bestow blessings are resonant and long, so from the breath of these bellows a great scattered wind arises, disturbing all three realms, unparalleled, hence it is said to be great. Ho signifies satisfaction with the praise. Third is the praise of mind: Hum. Wrathful... Great bindu Ho. Hum itself is the song. The wrathful one, great light of wisdom. This means that of the three, the wrathful one of great wisdom, the wrathful one of great awareness, and the wrathful one of great mudra, here the wrathful one himself has become the essence of wisdom, so he is the wrathful one of great wisdom. Therefore, he destroys all wrong views without exception.
