Even if it is understood now, since these two valid cognitions have separate objects, when one of them measures and understands its own object, it is not the case that the other also measures and understands. Therefore, whichever of these two valid cognitions it may be, it does not measure and understand the two truths simultaneously. Therefore, for the dualistic mind of ordinary beings, the two truths appear separately in a rotating manner, rather than simultaneously. Therefore, it can be known that the two commitments of how these two valid cognitions each measure, and whether or not there is a meaning to be gained, are also established. The second part has four aspects: refuting arguments similar to oneself; refuting arguments that both have equal strength; showing the necessary result of dividing into two truths and showing it with commitment; and showing how scripture and reasoning cause harm if the Madhyamaka commitment as cause or path is made into the ultimate self-view and passed on to the conventional other-view. The first part has three aspects: raising the argument; refuting it; and summarizing the meaning without contradiction by showing how all affirmations and negations in the scriptures are made. First part: Then, the commitment etc. is shown by one verse. Then, like this, if it is said that the faults of how many one has previously said to others about the existence or non-existence of commitment and the contradiction between the two truths are equally applicable to oneself, then that is the argument. The second part, refuting the argument, has three aspects: showing by distinguishing the difference between manifestation and wisdom, or meditation and post-meditation, or the state and appearance, because there is no commitment in nature, so although there are two commitments of existence and non-existence in the way of appearance, it shows that oneself does not have the fault of being able to be examined, etc., and in this way it also excludes other wrong conceptions, and shows that oneself does not have the fault of contradictory commitments of the two truths. First part: Our difference etc. is shown by ten verses. On this, we have well distinguished the difference of the occasion in this way, that is, the Madhyamaka of the post-attainment discriminating path and the Madhyamaka of the actual noble being's meditative union wisdom, in sequence, the gross Madhyamaka of symbols and the subtle Madhyamaka of reality, or the difference between the Madhyamaka of the state of cause and effect, or the object of consciousness and the object of wisdom, well distinguished the subtle Madhyamaka of reality or the Madhyamaka of the union result or the meditative wisdom of

Since it has been shown that there is no acceptance of emptiness or greatness, and it is said that there is acceptance in the division of subsequent perception, which is the object of the gross mind, or the emptiness of the path, therefore, how can the three faults, such as the fact that conventional truth is tolerable to reason, which were previously mentioned to others, apply to oneself? It does not apply. By briefly showing this and then showing it in detail, it is certain that in the great emptiness of the resultant union of meditative wisdom, there is no acceptance of dualistic dharmas such as existence and non-existence, as has been said. That itself is one's own system, the ultimate state of affairs, the inseparable truth. However, even so, in the division of subsequent perception of the path, or the emptiness of the path, when the two truths of appearance and emptiness appear separately, there is no negation measured by the valid cognitions of the separate reasonings that judge the two truths as they appear, emptiness, and there is affirmation, appearance. That is, all acceptances of the two truths that are relative to each other, that are not established as true, and that exist conventionally, are for the purpose of refuting each and every misconception of imputation and denial. But the nature or state of affairs, the resultant union emptiness, the two truths inseparable, is beyond negation, affirmation, rejection, and establishment. Therefore, there is no acceptance of negation and affirmation that are relative to the two truths separately. Since there is nothing that is accepted as negation and affirmation, the nature, the ultimate state of affairs, the inseparable truth, the union, the state of equality, the two truths are not separated into separate categories at all. Therefore, in any case, the acceptance of existence and non-existence, negation and affirmation, is not established as true in its own nature at all. Therefore, it should be known that there is no acceptance of negation and affirmation at all. Therefore, having clearly distinguished the difference between the emptiness of meditation and subsequent perception, when reciting in meditation, since there is no elaboration on the nature, the position of showing that there is no acceptance as the ultimate system is because, at the time of dividing subsequent perception, whatever is accepted in both negation and affirmation relative to the two truths is accepted under the power of mere conventional appearance. And, temporarily, the two truths are judged separately, and the objects found by the separate valid cognitions, both negation and affirmation, are true as they are determined separately for the time being, and there is no contradiction with those separate valid cognitions. That is because it is not the ultimate system itself, so conventional truth is tolerable to reason.

Therefore, none of the three faults such as dust will fall on oneself, because the appearing objects are also born dependently, so if examined with the wisdom of ultimate truth, it is unbearable, because it is inseparable from one and many and is interdependent. Non-existence is also established in dependence, so it is unbearable to examine with reason, because it is dependence and interdependence. Therefore, for the ultimate meaning, affirmation and negation, non-emptiness and emptiness, are like a dream son and his death, the same in that they are not established on the basis of designation, but in the temporary affirmation and negation, they depend on the two truths respectively, so the way they appear in designation is not obstructed, it is just a designation. That is, the mere existence of the unexamined worldly convention is what exists in the way it appears in designation, but it does not exist in the reality of ultimate truth. The emptiness seen by the wisdom that examines the ultimate truth of non-truth is considered to exist in the reality of ultimate truth, but that is also the ultimate truth that depends on the category of the appearance of conventional truth, if it depends on the ultimate truth that is inseparable from reality, then it is only a kind of ultimate truth, or a similar ultimate truth, that is, it is not the ultimate truth itself, and that also belongs to the category of designation. Furthermore, if those two truths are mutually contradictory because the reality and the way they appear are different, then there will be four faults in considering the two truths as different entities, as stated in the Sutra Explaining the Thought. Like this, even if the ultimate truth is directly realized, one will not attain Nirvana because it is not included in that conventional truth, so it is viewed separately. The ultimate truth that is different from the conventional truth will not become the nature of the conventional truth, just as a pot is not the nature of cloth. Because the two truths are different entities, the mere non-establishment of the conventional self will not become the ultimate truth, just as the mere non-establishment of a pot is not cloth. When one attains Nirvana after realizing the ultimate truth, one will also be completely defiled by afflictions because the conventional truth is viewed separately from this, therefore there will be no contradiction in the simultaneous entry of defilement and purification in the continuum of one person, this is the fourth point. Also, if those two truths, reality and appearance, are not mutually different entities, but are one, then the fault of the two truths being one will also be harmed by four faults.
