Oṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ Phaṭ Svāhā. This is the essence of proximity. Whoever writes this Queen of Knowledge-Mantras, the White Umbrella, which arises from the crown of all Tathāgatas, is invincible by others, and averts (evil), on grass, cloth, or tree bark, and wears it on the body or around the neck, or recites it, will not be harmed by poison, weapons, fire, or water for as long as they live. They will not be harmed by earth poison, cemetery poison, or curses. They will not die untimely. All demons, obstacles, and evil influences will be pleased. The eighty-four million billion Vajra families and the accomplished goddesses will always protect, save, and shield them. They will also be pleasing and joyful to them. They will remember eighty-four thousand great kalpas of births. The sixty-four Vajra messengers will always protect them like a shadow. They will never become yakshas, rakshasas, pretas, flesh-eaters, corpses, or body-corpses. They will not become poor. They will possess a collection of merit equal to the number of grains of sand in the Ganges River, possessed by countless and immeasurable Buddhas, the Bhagavat. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and the Bodhisattvas, as many as the grains of sand in the Ganges River, will protect, save, and shield them, and they will be pleased and delighted by them. The karmic obscurations of the past will be completely exhausted.
